Great video! I'm always interested to see how firefighters in other countries do their thing. May I ask, do you know what the automated voice said after "Mobilize, Mobilize"?
@FireBuff51 yes, it said the call sign on the appliance/s that need to attend and mobilise, in this case it was A212 the Pump so the alarm stated 'mobilise mobilise A212 A212' and then that again about 5 seconds later. You can just about catch the first set right at the start of the video.
@MagaHarry17 great! Thanks. That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. I'm used to the American designations for fire apparatus (Engine 51, for example) so I wasn't too sure.. Thanks again!
@MagaHarry17 it depends on the department. In New York, the call comes through to the housewatch and a firefighter sounds the tones and calls out the units to respond. With the L.A. County Fire Department, the dispatcher sets off the tones, then calls out the units to respond and the incident. The Los Angeles City Fire Department has an automated voice call out the units. Some departments use a combination of methods.
harry you might know mate....does Soho have a pole drop and if they do do they use it? because on a lot of videos from Soho they all use the stairs :P
