Same applies to early 20th century immigrants and today. You do not see the parallels between nativist reaction towards the Irish in the mid-nineteenth century and the worldwide nativist reaction today? I believe the Irish did bring an asset to America, just like all other immigrants did too

There's a difference between 19th century immigration, and late 20th, 21st century immigration, and that difference is, my ancestors excelled, despite poverty, despite discrimination, despite illness, from DRTB, yellow fever, malaria, etc.. There was no welfare system back then, or a free pass to victimhood, like there is today, for non-white welfare baby making 3rd-world immigrants, who, for the most part, bring poverty, crime, teenage pregnancy, dysfunctional slums, and high school dropouts.

That is not mutually exclusive and it wasn't until the 1970s that things improved for minorities. Am I right? That means it has only been approximately 30-40 years for their groups to move towards upward mobility. How long did it take the Irish to do the same and why? Would you say roughly the same or so? Because it didn't happen overnight. You do not think the racial sentiment and exclusion of others had anything to do with that? You don't think American society had the same views of the Irish?

Yeah you are right there was a difference in 19th, 20th and 21st immigration. Is not true that the Irish in the early 20th century were allowed to work in skilled labor and as politicians, while minorities were left i.e. not allowed to work certain jobs because of social discrimination, not allowed to attend the same schools and universities. You don't think that until the slow turnaround of that during the 1970s factored into their continued impoverished state. It hasn't been that long.

But the immigrants of the 3rd world today demand cultural representation, instaed of representing the host country they live in, and off of. You may not agree, but my solution to all this is continued education. Educate them and immigration will fall, states will improve, upward mobility, etc. it won't be perfect or a quick fix, but it will ultimately lead to it. Don't you think?

I forgot to mention the famine they endured do to landowners that usurped land from the Irish pushing them out of Ireland forcing a large percentage of them to America, either that or starve. Nor did the Irish deserve such ill-treatment or discrimination because of their immigrant status or because of their Catholicism (which was s popular way to isolate and exclude them i.e. The Irish Catholic takeover conspiracy theories), they did, however, benefit from an open door policy. I'm not saying that is what everyone should do (its not that simple either), but they did. There is no doubt about that. Ever wonder how groups that were excluded became included into American society? I did.
