I grew up in France with a cycling obsessed dad... He did the Marmotte several times... and I always wanted to give it a try - into triathlon at the mo... but definitely a trip back to the Galibier at some point in 2009. Great video, and good effort!
excellent video! I did the route of la marmotte last week and its really nice to look back at the route.Amazing.I really want to do the event next year..
Great video, well shot and edited. Captured the excitement and the pain. What camera did you use? Regards Gumby (friend of Maccas who rides with Seips)
Well done! This is really inspiring! I hope to ride these cols one day, too.

Great video - I also rode La Marmotte in 2008 and 2007. Can't wait to be back in 2009! What a great reminder of an epic ride.

French So lucky to have such good cycling on their doorstep.
Here in the UK,the average driver has no respect or understanding for a cyclist.
Way to go France and it's inhabitants.

The video was shot holding a little Canon Ixus 860 with a 4gb card. I can film about 35 minutes with the card.

Remember to click the high quality option as this is now available. It a lot better to see the detail, especially at the top of the Galibier.

Thanks, guys. I'm happy you enjoyed it - some nice memories for me as well. I'm not sure on why we don't have the High Quality option.
