I've watched this video so many times... in fact, I've watched it at least five times in the past few days... and it never ceases to make me cry. Lil Drac is such a lovely, adorable creature, and I'm so happy to see there are people in the world that can appreciate him and other bats the way you do. Bats are amazing creatures. I spent 2 years in the Army in Panama and each evening I would watch in awe as literally hundreds of thousands of bats would stream out from the roof tiles of our barracks to forage at night then return in the morning as the sun started to rise. Thanks for the wonder videos.

What would we think of an (alien)being who could influence our lives in the way that those in this video have influenced Lil Dracs?

On a darker side;what wud we think of an alien who treated humans the way our species treats most animals.

And why is it so seemingly difficult for our species to act in a manner that we ourselves would wish to be treated by someone of greater might.

As humans we can either be angels or demons & thankfully for Lil Drac those in this video are of the former variety.

Hi can you please help me with some info?I found a bat outside at -15 Celsius.He was crawling in the snow.I took it home.I don't know if its a baby.I feed it milk, like you do.Can I give it other type of food?I was trying to see if it can fly and it did only 2meters.Can you tell me if its a baby,how long it would take till its grown up to fly?Would it know how to find food after I let it go if I feed it now?Its sleeping all day.It looks exactly like this one /watch?v=SX8q0imlOrE&feature=r­elated

@Dibaby1. He no longer likes to be held or groomed (he's the equivalent of a teenager now) but he still likes to rock (just like most teenagers :)

This is so lovely it made me cry. Oh, well. =] I used to work as a tour guide in a cave and we (my colleagues and I) were always very excited to see these little buddies fly. It was not a common sight though, they were afraid of the tourists I think. But the cave is in the woods and there is a cabin there where the bats used to stay. There were literally hundreds of them and we went to watch them. They are amazing.

I posted both this video and his first one on my dog blog's FB page. I'd seen the first one a few months ago when a fellow blogger posted about the good work you do.  It's amazing work you do & we are happy to spread the word, even though we are a dog blog. Lil' Drac captured my heart and then when I read the story about the place he came from - it reminds me so much of the puppy mills that we have 2 keep fighting. @MrSkullandbones13. Thank you! We love taking care of them. We have raised thousands of orphans (both fruit and insect eating bats) and Lil' Drac is the only one who rocks himself. It's just part of his little unique personality.

I found a bat on my porch when I was like 10, I'm guessing it got hit by a storm because there was a hole in its stomache. Parents wouldn't care so me and some other kid wrap it in a shirt and took it to a park with lots of tree and place him by one of them.

@MsMercury. He flies over to get hand-fed melon treats that we offer the bats both morning and night. Honeydew is his favorite. He still knows us, but also knows he is a bat and has favorite bat buddies he "hangs with" (which is exactly what we want :)
