@HNDNV07 I think they are to prevent folks walking on the MLP deck falling in the water suppression pit below. sort of a safety barrier, but I am not positive.
Actually they're water "bags" for additional sound-suppression to prevent the SRB exhaust from "bouncing" back up at the shuttle-stack from the floor of the flame-trench.
