i remember going to a ducks game the day before he got traded to san jose. i wanted to hurt the gm. wtf was he thinking. just imagine if they still had kariya selanne then sign federov wow
The Sharks and Colorado-trips were rubbish for Teemu. If you don´t use someone like him rightly in the playing line-up, then don´t get surprised about him eventually leaving. Teemu propably just realized he was much better off somewhere else, where they actually find use for his skills. Nobody wants to stand in other people´s way, especially when you´re in your mid30s and trying to play hockey.
Thats true, but u have to remember that Selänne suffered from a knee injury 2000-2005. And Selänne had a knee injury in the lockout season. And on 05-06 he was back; "feeling better than ever" said Selänne
greatest offensive weapon.. no i dont think so, he was great but not that great... he is also one of my favorite players.. and u cant blame him for wanting to leave, all he wanted to do was win the cup.. like every other hockey player.. btw i am glad he did win the cup because its been his dream since living in Finland, and the way he cried when he won it.. well u just cant hate someone like that.
I'm not saying he was that with the Sharks (his knee problems were there already). I'm saying that he could easily record 120+ points if his linemates weren't undrafted 3rd liners whose only great asset is speed. When Teemu retires, you'll see MacDonald decay and Kunitz disappear.
I think kariya forgot that teemu isnt his teammate anymore at 0:17 lol.

Selänne punished both Colorado and Anaheim quite a lot, when he was in San Jose, especially Colorado.

This would've fit better showing clips of Teemu's triumphant return to Anaheim and his Stanley Cup victory. Great video though.

That's pretty much what's happened :) McDonald was worthless in Anaheim and Kunitz is a shadow of what he was when Teemu was playing.

selanne kicked balls as a shark. you cant blame a player for wanting to leave a team. not like he said anything bad about the fans or the team.

fuck you too

Now somebody's a bit cranky that possibly the greatest offensive weapon in the league left their team and gave a division rival a Stanley Cup.
