The "voice of our generation" sounds like when Michael Jackson mistakenly "accepted" the Artist of the Millenium award at the VMAs a while back..except MJ is closer to that than Kanye will ever be.
The hardest part about watching Kanye say that was I actually agree with him. Don't get me wrong, I think him going on stage was completely uncalled for. And that is what makes what he did so tough. The problem with Kanye is most of the time the crazy stuff he says is actually true, it's just said in the worst possible scenario. And that is why the stuff he says is crazy.
I don't see what the big deal is. Rude? Maybe. But it's the VMAs, who cares? I thought it was entertaining. Rude. Refreshing. And a little taste of: 'some things aren't important', like the VMAs.
It's important for Taylor Swift. Poor girl. If no one had been offended, then no one would care about the bastard. But that guy ruined an really important moment for Taylor. That is why we care.
My major problem with all of this is that Taylor is SO sweet and, if ANY of the other candidates had won, there's no way Kanye would have done it, because anyone else would have done or said something. I think Katy Perry said that it was like he stepped on a kitten, and that's very true; she was defenseless. AND she was a fan of his, so that must have hurt her even more, not to mention that it was her first award at the VMAs. A lot of people are saying that his "realness" was admirable, but
the fact that Taylor's fans voted for her and she won was proof enough that she deserved the award, and that Kanye's opinion was just completely invalid. Regardless of what he believes, his opinions do not count more than all of the people who voted. Ah, sorry I wrote so much! I definitely agree with everything that you said, and I'm gonna... stop talking now, haha. Sorry!

I think that bottle of whatever that he was drinking helped him get up there so fast =/ lol
Kanye should just not be allowed to be on camera when it's live....at all (remember the "Bush hates black people" comment on the 9/11 tribute?).

Oh man, Kanye's got some social skills to work on. Maybe he will disappear into obscurity soon.

He compared himself to Jesus by wearing a crown of thorns on the front page of Time magazine. Ugh.

Why would they even keep that picture on the front?..

To be honest, I'm finished with the Kanye West story. He made a fool of himself. Now I'm moving on.
p.s. I like your blog.
