  • its tv or radio? so fake and gay

  • He's speaking all CAPS :P

  • if they really had a sattelite in orbit he wouldn't have to scream so loud to broadcast the news

  • All things considered, they're doing pretty well for starting basically from scratch. US rockets were blowing up on the pad for their first few spaceshot attempts, and they had the benefit of german scientists AND german missiles.

  • @Tokopol

I doubt any failed attempts by NK to launch rockets would be broadcast to the public. Plus, the German scientists in America were largely pioneering rocketry at roughly the same time the Soviet Union was, whereas North Koreans are not pioneering. They're just wasting desperately needed money and resources on vanity projects while large portions of their population slowly starves to death.

  • @IndividualParties The circumstances and motives of the DPRK are immaterial to my statement. My point was, given the resources committed by the DPRK to rocketry, they've gotten more per dollar than the US did at the beginning, first of all. Second, Germans pioneered rocketry in Germany, not the US. Both the US and the USSR had the benefit of copying Germany, but the US tended to do more copying since they ended up with more German scientists than the USSR did.

  • @Tokopol

"they've gotten more per dollar than the US did at the beginning"

That would be ideal when your GDP is 50 billion bucks, LOL. but IDK what you base your "per dollar" assertion on; we don't know how much they spend and how many failures (dollars wasted) they've had. We have a few claims from NK that they have 2 satellites "in orbit" after maybe 25 years of their "space program." U.S. was on the moon in roughly the same time.

  • @IndividualParties Now you're measuring success per time spent--which, again, isn't what I was addressing. The DPRK's space program was inaugurated 14 years ago, not that it's relevant. It's resources committed that matters. Am I saying the DPRK has a better space program than the US or the ROK? Of course not, so there's no reason for you to get all defensive. All I'm saying is that the US and the ROK paid more to have their rockets fail than the DPRK...

  • @Tokopol

"Now you're measuring success per time spent--which, again, isn't what I was addressing. "

That was only the last bit of my comment, you ignored the main point which is that you don't know what they've spent to make your "per dollar" assertion. Like most everything in their country, not that much is known about their space program, especially their budget data.

  • @IndividualParties (cont'd) ...and when you consider three things; (1) All of these programs have common roots in German WWII rocket research, (2) the US had the advantage of possessing most of the remaining German scientists as well as unlimited resources when their rockets were exploding, (3) every failure functions as a research advance when it is studied and corrected--this leaves the DPRK with a disproportionately impressive rocket program, given the resources committed.

  • In a couple of years, we will hear about space-aliens shooting the fuckersatellite down because they can't stand to listen to those shitty songs praising Kim Jong Il and bad korean pop songs anymore!

  • WTH...!!! DO U NEED TO SHOUTING LIKE THAT???

  • What's its downlink frequency and footprint? That way people with a dish can pick up its transmission.

The news report stated that it was (and still is) transmitting songs, therefore people with a dish who are in the sat footprint will be able to receive them on their tv sets.

Thing is. They need to know the downlink frequency (the transponder, H/V etc.).

    What is it?

  • @daverushmore The satellite Kwangmyongsong is not geostationary so you can't receive it with a home-user stationary satellite dish and its lifespan is not long. By now the satellite is already disintegrated. If you want to watch Korean Central TV, it is available via Thaicom 5 satellite with downlink frequency 3504, Horizontal polarization, symbol rate 3367.

  • @atiu88

So in effect what you're saying is that there was absolutely no way of independently verifying what the newsreader's claims, or even that there even was a satellite up there. (if it couldn't be downlinked then why was it playing revolutionary songs which nobody could receive? What was the point of that?)

    It makes no sense.

Do you not see that there's a massive credibility problem here?

  • the communist state of mind!!!!! DPRK rules!!!!!

  • support DPRK!!

  • Apparently North Korean TVs have very poor loudspeakers in them. So the presenter just shouts at the top of his voice, in the hope he can be heard.

  • hahhaha north korea can suck my balls!!!!! this people need to get a life..and that dude kim jon whatever the fuk name it is..he needs to get some!

  • My speakers are FUCKED now thanks to this BS..

  • jesus christ this guys like a fog horn lol i mean SHUT UP hahahahha

  • @kinnane4 all korean are talking like this ,they are no maner

  • Why in gods name is he so loud!!

  • Every broadcaster in DPRK must have revolutionary and poweful voice to encourage domestic people and frighten foreign enemies(USA and south korea).

  • hehehe, he is so crazy. i was so shocked. i am not listening because i am chatting. then he speaks loudly..hehehe

  • that's nothing more than a long range missile; and its still sending to the earth the delusional melodies of the two immoral peasants songs lol. what a histerical & pathetic event.

  • Very revolutionary and poweful voice.

  • Awesome! Thank you so much for the translation!

  • Thanks for the appreciation. I will have more videos coming from the DPRK especially in this critical times.

  • to j363j // I don't feel that we need to believe in the people who get their public starved in order to make this bullshit.

  • What have you ingested?

  • haha you are a total tool...people like you are in power in north korea. thats why 9 million people have starved there while kim jong il tests his billion dollar nuke and his shitty rocket failures.

  • Those MFers are crazy as batshit!!

  • It feel short, into the sea, no satellite in orbit. More lies from the propaganda arm of the PDRK.

  • How do you know? because US said has no satellite? Its same thing to ask Hitler if he likes Jewish.

  • Godwin's law! Sheesh. That was quick.

  • Ok lets change the subject. US affirmation its the same to ask to muslim people if they likes US.

  • Thank you. Interesting viewing.
