  • Sorry I meant 6 years, DAMN!! Lol

  • I know its 3 years later but that was super cool bro!! I gotta try this now

  • deadlifts are both effective for hams And lower back.

plus they are more impressive to the eyes of someone who knows...

    friendly:)

  • very very difficult exercise but from a point and beyond it's just lower back and one that dont add to the lower back at all so its just waste of energy..it's like bench pressing and at the same time lifting your feet up and down for lower abs.so unless there's a specific reason there's no point in torturing your self.hams of course get tremendous intensity and i repeat that im not trying to underestimate the effort but i wonder, why don't you do some deadlifts instead

  • Very nice, ive got big ham power, i tried this ex for the first time and barely did 2 reps xd

  • Man...i think this movement would create A LOT OF PRESSURE on the knee cap and Knee Area...Unnecessary...don't do it..

  • Hey layne, love your stuff.

I have to do a makeshift kind of glut ham raise using a lat pull down machine. I don't have the equipment at my gym to put a new seat..i have to use the lat pull down seat.

My knee cap..or joint or something seems to go out of place or "pop" out as i'm doing them ..and it feels uncomfortable..is this normal ??or am I positioned incorrectly ?

  • Beast.

  • first time i have seen that exercise, looks hard

  • You need to stay planked and go faster, speed is the key to explosiveness!!!

  • wow lol that didnt even look real.

  • nothing special

  • Why do you hold the weights out to the side versus against your chest?

  • well obviously because I'm a pansy and not a real man

  • Gee, thanks.

If you ever feel like really answering that question, let me know.

    Just curious, buddy.

  • Well it just works different muscle groups is all i think

  • @UltimateThrilla become a pro natural bodybuilder with 12 years of training under your belt and you might realise why.

  • @sstslayer I didn't realize it was disrespectful to ask a rather simple question.

  • @UltimateThrilla The way he does it, it's actually easier than putting the weights against his chest. He has the weights slightly lower than where they'd be if he was holding them against his chest, lowering the necessary torque to do one rep. The hardest way to do these would be holding the weights with your hands outstretched over your head.

Either way, these are hard to do so major props to him.

  • Brave man.. I wouldn't be able to walk the next day.

  • feel the burn...nice job!!!

  • thats ridiculous, I can barely do one of them let alone a drop set with 20 pounds.

  • I've never seen this before. I'm suprised my track or wrestling coaches never thought of making us do these. Looks like a good one to increase overall pulling strength amd stamina.

  • I honestly have never even seen this exercise before

  • thats some impressive shit man

  • Dude, you are the MAN! This is the first time a video has left me so amazed. You're sick man!!

    Hat's off to you!

  • this video is fucking savage,

i tossed them in ghetto sytle

    (w/o the weights) on leg

day yesterday, and lets jus say

i can't even walk to take a piss

i fucking love it, thanks layne

  • be careful son

  • thats a really cool setup man. Might use your idea to do those. I'm suffering from an imbalance in the glute and hamstring area so this would be great!

  • that is truly amazing... his knees are going to kill him later on.

But that is something I cant do AT ALL! ( or would attempt)

  • Very very impressive... Good luck with your goals!

  • Fucking shit, that's amazing.

  • im gonna start doin those wen i can, my gym dont have the leg thing at mo tho, gym at home does tho

  • I just started doing this exercise 2 months ago, it's pretty intense, especially when you do the reps with perfect form. I havn't made it to holding weight yet.

  • effing sick

  • oh my f******** god that was impressive!!

  • wow oO great dude

  • dopé

  • I'd like to say that in a way I know this guy, but he's the greatest. One beastly yet kind person.

  • Windows Movie Maker sucks ;)

KILLER RAISES! You da man, Layne.

  • my gosh man, that is truly amazing. are those not considered harrop curls though? maybe same thing. anyways, i always have to do a little pushup when i get to the ground just to get back up. i'm not in bad shape, but clearly nothing like you. soon enough though!

  • good work, I doubt I can do one unassisted
