Chegwin gives a chilling performance. It goes to show that with a good script any actor can show they can really act. Les Dennis too. Ricky Gervais can really write. His film, The Invention of Lying, was disappointing. The central idea was brilliant and it has some amazing scenes, reminiscent of Monty Python, like the Pizza box/man in the sky scene, but he obviously sold out his idea to Hollywood and they trashed it.

Chegwin gives a chilling performance. It goes to show that with a good script any actor can show they can really act. Les Dennis too. Ricky Gervais can really write. His film, The Invention of Lying, was disappointing. The central idea was brilliant and it has some amazing scenes, reminiscent of Monty Python, like the Pizza box/man in the sky scene, but he obviously sold out his idea to Hollywood and they trashed it.

The fact that the guests were prepared to parody themselves to such an extent and/or adopt extremist views were the crucial ingredients for Extras.
Ross Kemp, Orlando Bloom Kate Winslet were all great in this series. Ross Kemp an actor who I'd never previously valued shone like a true star in his parody of the macho tough-guy image. The final confrontation between Kemp and Vinnie Jones makes me cry with laughter everytime I watch it!!!
