I still don't understand why athiest care about why people believe in GOD. If you don't believe in GOD, live your life and pass on. Don't try to talk people out of thier beliefs. If the faithfull are wrong, than no harm done, right? But if athiest are wrong theres no helping them. They denied CHRIST and will be judged. Judgement day is nigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Atoxx1, your beliefs in an entity you call "God" and a "Judgement day" causes no problems for anybody as long as you do not try to impose your ideas on others.

The problem with religion is that so many religious people and their organizations impose their beliefs on other people, including their own children. This leads to so much oppression and suffering in the world.

I am sure that you are not that kind of evil person. Then the danger of mixing religion and politics should be obvious to you.

I agree. I should not have said everybody will be judged. Some people dissagree, and thats thier right. I'm just frustrated that Christianity is allways under attack , when it comes to schools, jobs, or just a personal belief in GOD. I'ts the new popular belief that if you believe in GOD, you are dumn, racist, or a homophobe.

Finally he had a chance to express his points, and he seems very much open minded. that is Hitchens. religion must be within one person and his/her god, if it was enforced upon people, then how do you know their deeds.

I have never seen a man so open minded toward the middle east in the west as Mr. Hitchens.

It is my observation that Mr. Hitchens truly does believe in a god...himself. He must be all-knowing if he is able to make an emphatic statement like, "There is no god." To know that something doesn't exist anywhere, also implies omnipresence. You are watching a video of god!

Actually, the burden of "PROO[F]", zasatire, lays on the other end, while "prooving," in general, belongs to the field employing a scientific method, which begs the question: why are you conflating facts of science with acts of faith?

The onus is on the one making the claim. When the chap who theorized the neutron made his claim public, the scientific community didn't go about trying to dissuade him or prove false a notion they didn't believe in the first place. That way madness lays... They simply asked that he either prove the neutrons existence outright or infer to best explanation. God is not the best inference to existence, I'm afraid to tell you.... nice try, though.

@TianSanThe sad truth about advisarial interviews is, that it is only good at creating confrontations, and as we all know, once you get angry your mental capacity is reduced.

They make for entertaining TV but they dont contribute much in understanding.

Dialog in interviews is critical, and that require, time and the willingness to listen and trying to understand, and on the basis of that, ask critikal questions. !!!
