Dont update ur firmware if your tv is fine, i updated the firmware on my tv after updating tv wont turn on, im not the only one that experienced this, samsung does not want to do anything about it either

when i connect the usb it does not show the software upgrade content library and media play..it justs show something store n' go media and it searches the usb for music video and images...i cant find the .exe file

@surfacing3579 I don't have the same model (it seems they don't follow the same naming here in Europe) but I have the same problem : files are extracted on the disk, but it won't see them. Guess I have to try the "online" thing I saw in this video...

On mac or on apple computers, go to terminal and type "unzip T-MST4AUSC,_T-MSV4AUSC.exe". this is the exact command I used.

I think they should release an zip file instead of a exe file. Thanks to the people who commented on it previously to help me to solve this issue.

I have only Macs in my home and only option for usb formats is FAT32 for me.. Which is capped with 4gb file transfer.. Again, it's 2011 and we watch movies more than 4gb files..

@dmagoo I had serious problems with my TV that were fixed only by the new firmware. You should only update when experiencing severe problems, just like flashing a Motherboard bios. This isn't like having the latest OS on your smartphone for coolness.

@iKyleInk You do know that you can simply extract self-extracting .EXE files with most normal archivers, both on Mac and on Linux, right? (Example: Using 7-Zip the command would be '7z x filename.exe' ....)

Just got myself a Samsung LE32C550, I see the firmware on that TV is the same :) Searched some Samsung sites and no new firmware but now I know how to do it when the time comes around :)
