She was conferred the title in 1979 as BIDUAN Negara by the Msian Govt. Rasanya title Biduan itu disesuaikan untuk kedua jantina. In the last album in 1981 in which Lagu Anak Rantau was one of the tracks, it was entitled Biduan Negara.
I don't know, I could be WRONG. I believe ages ago in the 80s. I don't care too much at that time. There was two thoughts that crossed my mind at the time. First, was the title purposedly created for her as 'kesian' because P.Ramlee passed away? Second, it is beyond gender barrier and given to the living only. Hopefully, someone correct it. Perhaps you? That is why when DSA receive the title I was like.. after all these years... at last. Waiting for DSA to receive Tan Sri or Tun...
