  • This is not only for deaf people im not deaf and im tring to learn this!! and is a little hard!! the music kinda helps me!

  • watch this also! A TEDx talk from Ability Foundation

    watch?v=9bOIkPRXw_8

  • thank you!!we say this is helpful

  • thanks a lot! I learned it.

  • would you be able to use ASl to have a conversation?

  • @Shaunnporejemplo You can converse in ASL if you're proficient/fluent in it. Same as English or any other language. But just knowing the alphabet? No.

  • @Shaunnporejemplo imagine when someone walked up to you, they spelled every letter instead of saying the word. Its about the same. But, it is a starting point. You can fingerspell (Which is what you'd be doing) to a ASL user (since there are various signs languages around the world) and they can show you the sign. Over time of learning, you can become fluent. It requires that you practice often adn learn as much as you can.

  • This is so different from BSL. Very interesting

  • THIS IS PERFECT! ¡GRACIAS!

  • hey guys...I'm partially deaf. I know sign language. Its fun. But people please dont make fun of us. We're just the same as you. just listen to SolarExavior. He's right. I've been deaf since i was 3 and i get offensive a lot of times.

  • thats really good. keep up the good work. Its hard but its also very fun to learn. I'm partially deaf. i lost both my hearing when i was 3. So its been hard for me to get a job.

  • sarcasm

  • yeah!!

  • I agree with sweetxfilipina !Calling the deaf 'disabled' is stupid! THEY ARE NOT DISABLED!

  • "This vedio helps the disabled peoples to learn how to speak with their language."

Sorry, but I would like to say that deaf people aren't "disabled." Deaf people can do anything a hearing person can do, except hear.

  • I dont think you quite understand what disabled means. It doesnt mean that you just can't do things sweetheart, and it is not a slam against the hearing impaired. It means that there is a funtion that you are suppose to be able to do but are unable to do so, thats all. It doesnt mean people think they are less than. There are pysical disabilites and mental ones.

  • I agree. They are no less than any other person. However, it doesn't matter how you or anyone else defines "disabled." If you call deaf people "disabled", it's offensive to them.

  • If you are deaf, you are disabled sweetheart. You can't hear. Its not offensive when you use the term how it is meant and not as an insult.

  • I'm not deaf. I am hearing. And tell that to a deaf person and see how his/her reaction is. The point is, a deaf person will NOT see their deafness as an inability.

  • That was a general "you", it was't about you. Hun, deafness is a disablility....... LMFAO you just do not get it... WOW.... I thought that you were thick when I first read your response but if is way worse than I first feared. You have constipation of the brain and diarrea of the mouth because you have no idea what you are talking about yet for some reason you keep letting it come out of your mouth.

  • Actually I know what I am talking about. It's just unfortunate that you simply don't understand deaf culture.

Ask ANY asl interpreter, asl instructor, or any asl signers here on YouTube. I GUARANTEE you, they will tell you that deafness is NOT a disability.

    I'm done arguing.

  • It is recognized as a disability. Period. :-D Look it up

  • I agree, Its not a disabillity because they are not disabled from anything, they still can communicate and have a language and thats really all that hearing is good for..

    but i dunno :/

    makes sense to me lol

  • Am the hearing sense ain't just for language. I can't sneak up behind people because they can hear. Senses are vital for survival. You need all but can cope without one.

  • It is offensive. How would you like it if you were blind and some asshole comes in your face and goes " Ah, your disabled" I'm sure you'll be pretty damn pissed. No matter HOW you sugar coat it, its OFFENSIVE and IGNORANT because people like you and myself who have all of our senses like to put the other people that don't as DISABLED. That's all it means, its just another way for people to discriminate against one another.

  • @SolarExavior well said

  • i agree deaf ppl aren't disabled. that's stupid. they just cant hear ppl run their mouths, in some cases there lucky. And I sign with deaf ppl, if u were to tell them they were disabled they would either be really pissed or laugh at you.

  • aaa

  • Nice video - this is asl right? the description does not specify

  • but there ARe different versions for different letter arent there? i mean for T and i found like several versions for F G H and some other letters so what ersion should i know? i mean the letters are only used for names and stuff like that right? and the person i would ' talk to' would understand the letter eeven if its a different version/

  • Great video... !

why the sign language is not international??, so that all deaf people can communicate between them...

  • I really hope you are telling the truth... and if you are, excuse my ignorance

  • I am......I know a whole lot ASL. I hope u believe me now. Its ok. Alot of people don' believe that Im deaf. And when I tell them, sometimes they dont believe me. So yeah. Oh and actually I have 2 implants, just got the second 1 done in July. Cant hear out of it yet. Gonns take Time. So yea
