The Ceded lands to the US Government was established about 1898. The Ceded lands were returned to the state of Hawaii upon statehood in 1959. King Kamehameha III designated the crown lands to benefit ALL Hawaii citizens, including ALL races. Sorry, but the benefit of the trust is for all Hawaii residents.
