haha. Meaning England took a long time to catch up to the US as far as having respect for people who believe it's worthwhile improving themselves goes. Having people like Gok Wan has helped. Wasn't saying self respect. Said respect for people who believe in improving themselves. They all got boats to what became 'America'. America benefitted from all the 'foreigners' they allowed settle there. I don't care if you are different, it's ok. you know many of those who sailed to america did so during the highland clearances, because there was nowhere else to turn. many many people lost their lives on the crossing from disease, starvation, hypothermia, and shipwreck.
