I want to be a cop. I have the most respect for what they do than anyone else in the world. Apart from firefighters. The two professions are the most selfless you can get. And they do make places and people feel safer. If you do drugs, are a frequent law breaker, then obviously you'd have problems with cops. I only resent them after I get a traffic ticket. Then I see a moron speeding recklessly on the road and immediately wish there were more cops.

I wish 'police are great' blanket statements worked. Police are like any service job. They are not clones. the people in this clip look like they want to serve and protect.

I feel safe when I see police officers in a community where police brutality is take seriously, and the process for recruits is strict like san jose, as opposed to my experience in tempe arizona in the 90's where they were nothing more than a white supremacist gang.

More often than not they reflect the community.

I love cops, sure they might be a pain in the ass if your partying with loud ppl and all..but thier just tryin to do thier job and prevent crimes..i feel safe if im in a town where there are cops around.. i mean yeah there are some crooked cops and alll..but no ones perfect.. every cop i met was always nice and thier not goin to be jerks if you need help.if it wasnt for cops there would so much drug dealers on the street and bad things happending...my uncle is a cop and so is one of my cousins..

@ShannenLane If drugs were legal then there would be MUCH less small time dealers. In addition to that, the drugs, however harmful they may be, would be safer due to the fact that we would know what's in them. Also, drug addicts could feel better about seeking treatment as they would be considered someone with a medical ailment rather than a criminal. Police are usually great when you call them, the problem lies with the fact that most police these day view themselves as above the law.

And WHAT backs up your facts? Im no cop, but im a LEO. I can say firsthand, people feel good when they see me. I recieve many thanyous and smiles, etc. Also, about 81% of Americans, as concluded in a compilation of polls conducted nationwide, say they are satisfied with the performance of the police, locally. I know many cops. They are nice and dedicated. It is clear they wanted to be a cop to help. Also, a Marine is 4 times more likely to commit a crime and civilians are 97% more likely to.
