  • so brilliant. when was this?

  • One of fave songs, with the Funky Drummer beat...genius!

  • this is a powerful tune

i agree the baseline is one i want to learn to play and of course,

whats a Sinead song with out an accordion? unauthentic ;)

    yay for female bassists!

  • I do not think her fans are adequately represented when her name comes up in corporate media of any kind. She has a HUGE following on any independent uncensored media such as this, while even music oriented corporate entities still want to portray her as pariah, even though she proved completely correct and prescient about the child abuse issues...she should be sainted and maybe time will right the wrong the media has done and continues to do to her.

  • love it!

  • i am in love with her force...

  • Best version on Youtube.

  • Outstanding rendition. The girl bassist is the one who played in the backing band for Shakespears Sister, btw.

  • love it all so much but that accordion is what really nails it together i think

  • wow! amazing!

  • Sinead is such a bad ass. And what a kick ass band. So roots and so right on.

  • @jtwgriffin I like the way you phrased that! She's a badass!

  • Boy I love the bass playing. Love the whole performance of course, but damn that's a sweet bassline

  • love the bass line

Well, love everything about this, but that bass line does deserves some kudos

  • where was this performed?

  • can't get enough of Sinead....she leaves me speechless.....after 22 yrs when i first saw her in a club in Detriot ....just amazing

  • How deeply this song is connected to my mind. She is inviting you into a strange and beautiful world, I love Sinead.

  • Sinead is beautiful and telented. She has nothing on Dead can Dance.

  • nice

  • This is wonderful and so powerful. As to the discussion below, DCD's version if also wonderful. Just different. I don't feel one is better than the other. They both come close to bringing me to tears.

  • woow, that "irish" part make's me so crazy, love it

  • Even her voice has changed within years, it's still so nice and different that I can't stop hearing her songs...

Hey Michelle, if u have any video in live performance of the song "Mná na h'Eireann" , I'd really love to see that ! Please, in case u have it, try to upload it for us!

  • I think the same, love all her songs

  • This music is of DEAD CAN DANCE,

    but sing very well

  • "I Am Stretched on Your Grave," an anonymous 17th century poem (originally written in Irish) translated into English by Philip King.

Dead Can Dance covered it in 1994, after Sinead did it in 1990.

  • Actually Sinead covered this song before Dead Can Dance did, and did it better as well.

  • @alexcostag This is an traditonal Irish song covered by many.

  • amazing song!

  • I love Sinead!!! thankss for your post!!! :)

  • I love you Sinead, not as an untouchable celebrity, but, as a powerful human being. Thank you for all your love and song; I thank Jah for your commitment to beauty and excellence.......is there life after death? I believe only through the loving of the living; for as Sweet Honey have said...."The dead have no where to go.....listen more often to things than to beings"

  • i love this version, sends shivers to me spine.

  • So awesome!

  • I like her performance.... she sang wery well!!!!!

the music of this song is really good!!!!

    thanks for posting this video!!!

  • nice set :)
