  • Boundifulblezzngs,

The prior reply was of course to you.

You are a beaming example of why I get so much gratification from posting on youtube.

    Did you attend that festival?

south.I am no expert on gospel though.

  • Hi I am not sure about the name of the choir but the piano player/choir director wiith the glasses name is Pastor Stanly O. Porter and the tenor on the front row wearing the blue suit name Napoleon "Donnie" Roberson. They both graduated from UA. They were also members of the Afro Gospel Choir there on the campus of UA.. Stanley is a pastor in Eight Mile/Mobile, Alabama. Donnie is now deceased. Sorry, I that is all that I have.

  • Thank you.

I have more on this group if someone wishes it.

I hope Donnie's family sees this.

  • No not a fan of the festival. I knew Donnie partially due to our growing up together so to speak. And I met Stanley after Donnie attendance at the U of A. Which is where Donnie and Stanley met. I think they were drama and music majors, at least in the beginning. Anyway, Donnie was our church choir director and Stanley played the piano. Watching them made me reminiscent of some youthful fun times and some Hallelujah praising God times. The aniversary of Donnie death is in a couple weeks15yrs-9/94
