I like others was suspicious but hopeful. I think there were great political gains in ridding Israel of the responsibility for 1.4m Arabs in Gaza. It was a good move. What failed is Israel's threat. Israel threatens to respond to attacks by the Arabs, but always cowers until 1 big action followed again by the near-non-responses, as we have today.

Israel must respond to attacks more consistently! Not always the same way as it must decide wisely, but never weakly!
