As much as I like Mike Oldfield, I have to disagree. I've been going back and listening to QE2 and the original Tubular Bells... he was not nearly as good an instrumentalist as I remembered. Where he shone was in the *scope* of the music and in his breadth, not in virtuosity.

After Mikes 1973 hit tubular bells i rediscovered his music when I got stationed in West Germany in 1980. Talk about great memories and great times i bought EVERYTHING he had out while stationed there and still pull out those great sounding vinyl records alot and this has to be one of my favorites Thanks Mike

Since I discovered Mike Oldfeild, I found a new way to love music . A new kind of vibe and passionate emotions . All of you may say I'm wrong, but to me, this guy and Goran Brogovic, are the greatest compositors of our time.

And it dont mean I forgot all the great bands as pink floyd or marillion (with "Fish" as vocal and leader . But composition is an exceptional art when perform by individual . Wrong tiping may occur, I'm french Canadian speaking :-)
