unfortunately, while I agree that spending cuts are necessary to reduce the deficit, it alone will not reduce the overall debt. There are huge amounts of debt piled up from previous administrations that needs to be payed down, you either need to raise taxes or reduce spending so that any tax cuts are budget neutral.

Think about what Dr.Paul is saying. Congress does not have any where near the power they are supposed to have. My God, just look at the Czar count under Obama. I don't recall any Czars being a part of our Government structure as outlined by our forefathers. Ron Paul is trying to show us how to return to our Constitutional roots. unfortunately, while I agree that spending cuts are necessary to reduce the deficit, it alone will not reduce the overall debt. There are huge amounts of debt piled up from previous administrations that needs to be payed down, you either need to raise taxes or reduce spending so that any tax cuts are budget neutral.
