  • The light on your music looks like a shrine. Miles was right when he said we said we jazz musicians should take one day out of the year and get down on one knee and thank Duke. The most achingly beautiful bridge to any jazz tune I've ever heard. Play it brother.

  • What a wonderful thought about the light on the music. The music stand is a bit of a shrine, I guess. ;-)

I find Duke Ellington's music has an emotional depth and richness that is unique; I'm glad you enjoyed this performance. :-)

  • That was just ridiculously good! lol.

By any chance, does anybody have the sheet music for piano that I could have?

  • Nicely done, G. Haven' t heard you play in ages. :D:D:D

    -C. up in Whitehorse. :D

  • Glad you enjoyed it. :-) It's been a long time indeed (at least 5? 10? (I'm getting old!) years) & the piano is much, much larger now. (I still have my old Smith & Barnes. My tuner has always discouraged me from trying to get it restored (feels it's not worth the money), but I'd like to be able to afford to waste the money on it some day!)

  • This is just brilliant.

  • Thank you very much! :)

  • this is the fucking shit

  • Erm.... sorry you don't like this version; guess I'll undedicate it then!

  • sorry man, "this is the fucking shit" is 2000s talk for "this video is great"... very well done, 5 stars all the way

  • Ooops! Guess I'm showing my age! ;)

Glad you still like the piece! :) :)
