I would say it is safe to say that Scarface is ONE of the GREATEST rappers of all time, whether recognized publicly or not. I wouldn't put him in my top 5 but... he's up there in the hall of fame. He's very similar to Pac as far as content but definitely took his own style and made it work for himself.
i'm 16 but dont listen 2 lil wayne or that kinda music, i dig deep into hip hop and unravel history cos when i listen to hip hop i listen to find mean or even a means of escape and dont believe everything "these days" is crap till you try it. @jprincehouston ...lol this has to be a joke. scarface is old but he pushed his career for 20 years before he put down the pen to pick up a golf club. he's amongst the best rappers and lyricist in the history of hip hop. hands down. if you aint know bout FACE then stop listening to rap. 110% reeeal nigga.
Truth be told, I was listening to Geto Boys when I was 6 years old. That's just the kind of shit people around me listened to. Didn't affect me at all.

Damn this whole album is dope, I love when artists concentrate on their albums and not just a few songs. You can tell he really put in work on this album.
it all depends on where ur kid lives i gurantee a 11 year old n the ghetto can relate 2 this song word 4 word...all music is like thats depends on if u can relate 2 it
hahah ya i remember listenin to em around that age too. i remember my dad found my printed out lyrics to my name is, and he was like this is really really bad. i didnt really think anything of it or understand half of the shit. just thought it sounded really good haha.
i dont no how many 11 year olds would even like something like this anyways...
I respectfully disagree....11 is an impressionable age. You are correct in that you cannot judge someone based solely on age, everyone is different in their maturity level but if he isnt routed in morals and the knowledge of right and wrong he just might pick up a gun because Scarface said Im a natural born killa
I think its the parents call because when a child shoots something everyone blames the parents cause they should have known
That I really can't remember, prob younger than 11 but my point is that it's not a blanket case what applies to me may not apply to you.
So it's subjective and that's why I think the parent should make that decision and it doesnt just apply to killing. Face talks about robbing people, doing drugs, selling drugs and the harsh reality of the ghetto that a young kid may not understand
Illuminati=ET kin aka gods, Annunaki, Ea, dragons, angels/demons, Satan, Pepsi, naga, vampires, bluebloods, Al Gore, Windsors, Rothschilds, Rockefellars etc who rule cults like Freemasonry. Whoever gave you thumbs down on UGK / Scarface / Z-ro / Devin bein the best is smokin Crack... I dont know if I'd put cham in that category ... but those 4 for sure UGK counts as 2 for me though, cuz bun and pimp flip different styles
"I can squeeze without blinkin, I'm a cold blooded nigga, bank robber...I'm a natural born killa/drug dealer, anything it took to survive, even if it took a nigga to die, I'm a gangsta right"
I'm the biggest Face fan out here so dont get my angle confused on this. I have an 11 year old brother and honestly I'd rather him listen to Soulja Boy than this kind of material. He's a smart kid and knows right from wrong but I still feel its wrong in principal for him to take liking to this so young.
I'm glad you see my point on this. Alot of people are like "Man fuck that. Let that lil nigga hear some REAL shit! Play him some NWA. Play him some Snoop Dogg" and I'm just like wow. Maybe in his teen years its something he'll develop a taste for on his own and hopefully he'll know to take it as entertainment and nothing more but I'm not about to have my 11yo brother walkin around spit'n the lyrics to "Straight Outta Compton".
Yea I started listening to Eazy E when I was 8 or something... wish I wouldnt have lost some of my innocence that way lol probably why my mouth is so damn foul
@FEKing2727 i feel watchu sayin, im15, been listenin to face since i was six, only person intruduced it to me was my uncle bt iliked it, cz iundertood wat dude was sayin on sum real, ye iwldnt promote this but hey everybody goin feel like murkin some one sooner or later itz just the way u was brought up bkuz my momz stayed onme nt to take da music seriously so aye if h like this kind of music he gt good taste

@FEKing2727 I could see you not wanting him to listen to Scarface at a young age, don't get me wrong. Listening to Soulja Boy isn't much better though..
@FEKing2727 I feel you but there's still better options out there for him than Soulja Boy. Hell, he can at least listen to Drake or something. Anything other than Soulja Boy.

Everyone older than me use to always say that this fool was the greatest, and I would be like "Naw, 2pac is the greatest!" or some shit like that, the my uncle played this album for me while we were ridin to a picnic. It was then that I learned what was real (face, em, pac, nas, cube, rakm) and what was bullshit (todays music)
Because back in the day when this came out Kanye was actually still grindin it out trying to get his name out there, so everything he made back then was straight fire. Now he can make some mediocre beats, spit whatever he wants over it and millions will buy it regardless. He still has the potential to make beats like this all day, he just doesn't have to anymore so I doubt he'll ever get back to that old school level, which is a shame because early 2000's is when Kanye was at his best IMO.
ghostdini is one of my favorites but he's not as descriptive as Face. Face is better at expressing himself than ghost. Face is like a novelist. Ghost is more creative with the slang but he cant hang with Face on the storytelling tip. I love Ghosts animated tales though and his constant reference to his big guns('I keep big Shirley on my side so what's happening")
Scarface is definitely top 5 dead or alive. A street poet who tells it how it is. For longevity alone he should be on that list- always comes correct. Always.
This is so sick, has a flow that reminescent of a narrative rather than something that came off the top of his head. Love it.

You are all wrong and ignorant... "Because he's 11"... If you Judge one's understanding by one's age... then you are not as wise as you think are.
It's not like a kid is stupid enough to pick up a gun and rob a shop because a rapper said so... at least not where I'm from.
I'm open for debate!

I have a question for youas a child (early teen) did you ever go to school, the mall (wherever) repeating stuff you saw in a movie or heard in a song?
Would you want your child quoting Scarfaceeven if he/she never acted on it?

If I like the lyrics I still do! (I'm only 15) but I don't and didn't take it to heart.

Scarface is definitely top 5 dead or alive. A street poet who tells it how it is. For longevity alone he should be on that list- always comes correct. Always.
