  • Lets turn the question the other way around. Instead of screwing the banks of what they did, what kind of banks do people in America wanted? I am always confused about the financial system in the US, do American want to enforce "moral" law in business? If not, we already have it; if we do, then what is it exactly?

  • Don't worry, I've just found it, I see that it was split up in "lobbying" and "Campaign contributions" :D. I'm presenting a talk on the Occupy movement, I think this slide will be the stand-out and really prove the point!

  • On their website, "opensecrets" /lobby/top.php?showYear=a&indexType=c it says that the FIRE sector lobbied $4.857B from 1998-2011. Is this wrong where is the other $2B, can I get some links?

  • Put pressure on these lawyers and companies representing these corrupt banks. RCO LLLC is a company representing JP Morgan Chase, here are some lawyer’s names that are representing JP Morgan Chase. RCO LLLC NUMBER 532-0090

    Charles R. Prather ext. 7664

    Peter K. Keegan ext. 9428

    Michael G.K Wong ext. 7634

    Steven K. Idemoto ext. 9013

  • You guys legalized political corruption and renamed it "lobbying".. over here we prosecute people.

  • 845 likes and 7 dislikes? I guess the 1% is watching and hates what Cenk is saying

  • Looks like someone has the hots for Ana... :D

  • But ummmmmmmmmmmm ? Why is lobbing allowed anyway?

  • Goldman Sachs sounds like a terrible Jewish porno.

  • Its very strange how so many people who are given the responsibility of leading the country, seem to hate that same country and want to see its people be crushed...

  • @clunny77 Very strange true, The World needs love, and to learn what it means to give.

  • If you have the POWER to PRINT $ who cares how many Billions you spend?

  • News how?

  • Shocker.

  • What do you mean by reasonable interest.

This seven trillion dollard were a loan.

The way Cenk speaks you would think the banks were given this money and that they still have it.

  • @bornbillsmith You realize the statistics of the seven point seven trillion right? It was in what was called a "closing window" loan, and was given at .001% interest with an "indefinite" return, or as it's commonly known, a return deadline that never gets written. This was a despicable financial action that corrupted the US dollar more than it already was.

  • people need to revolt .

  • Money is the root of all evil. If you think your going to get money out of politics any time

Soon.... I'm afraid your dead wrong, and stand absolutely NO chance whatsoever

  • Ana face in the corner FTW!

  • And people wonder why folks lose faith and stop voting. I'm going to continue to vote, but I'll admit to sometimes thinking it's all a giant waste of fucking time, in large part due to what's transpired (or hasn't) since Obama took office. Democrat control of all branches of government and everything they managed to pass was watered down garbage. If even in the absolute BEST circumstances nothing got done, why should we have hope for when it's not an ideal situation? It's depressing.

  • OR get rid of the politicians.

  • @CuriousMoth

To be replace by new ones who will just do the same thing.

When offered so much money you will be eventually corrupted.

  • @mecher3k The problem is that the politicians aren't nearly accountable enough to the people they're supposed to be representing. There needs to be a way for people to represent themselves, or at least refuse to lend a politician the strength of their vote for a select issue. This can't happen in our current, corrupt failure of a democracy, but it would be the natural state of working for a democracy that uses our modern technology to allow the public to easily vote on any subject.

  • @CuriousMoth

Agreed, the entire system is broken and needs to be replaced. One person in any position of government would do nothing to solve the problem.

  • @CuriousMoth You want a govt that wipes their ass with the constitution to regulate itself?

  • @JackofOneTrade567 I want a government which is beholden to the people, made up of civil servants enacting propositions put fourth and democratically voted on by the people and which requires no middle man; no politicians.

  • @CuriousMoth So majority rule basically? What about people who disagree? Do they have to live their lives according to how somebody hundreds of miles away says they have to? Would a person have to fund something he/she detests? What if the majority were anti-abortion? What if the majority wanted a theocracy? What if the majority wanted a representative govt or a dictatorship?

  • @JackofOneTrade567 The constitution would remain in place as a hard-coded facet of the system, with the constitutionality of a proposal being voted on transparently and weighted in favour of votes from those with experience / education in law, particularly law regarding the constitution. The rule of the majority competes with the rule of experts, thus a vast majority of laypersons would be required to overrule the decision.

  • @CuriousMoth I see, so the only way to overrule an expert would be with vast amounts of stupidity? Also, a system where some citizens have more of a say than others? Your system has inbuilt inequality.

  • @JackofOneTrade567 You value everyone's opinion equally on all matters, regardless of expertise? So if you get sick, do you ask your neighbour or your doctor? Do you ask your IT expert friend what he thinks about the stability of the foundations of a house you want to buy, or do you tend to go to him when your computer has a problem? Do you employ random people who happen by for a job in a nuclear power plant? Do you trust untrained, unaccountable people to act as police?

  • @CuriousMoth I don't involve people in stuff that has nothing to do with them. I shouldn't have the right to tell others how to live their life at gunpoint, unless they live their life violently.

  • @JackofOneTrade567 But you're happy to let a handful of corrupt bastards have the right to tell you how to live, and billions beside?

Funny, you were saying how majority rules is bad, then you say inequality is bad, then you say people shouldn't be involved. You can't eat your cake and still have it, or can you? Since you're so keen to tell me I'm wrong that you're willing to contradict yourself twice over, I'd like to know what's your ideal government?

  • @CuriousMoth Who are these corrupt bastards telling me how to live? Even if they did how would they force me without govt intervention?

I haven't contradicted myself at all. My ideal govt is no govt.

  • @JackofOneTrade567 Corrupt bastards = politicians who accept bribes and those bribing the politicians for a favourable outcome on whatever bill or proposal is deliberated on.

And yea, I know your ideal government is no government because you argue like an anarchist, which is to say you plug your ears to anything anyone else says and shout about how everything's unfair and taxes are gun-point robbery, then go very quiet or evasive when someone asks you for a solution.

  • @CuriousMoth There exists several reasons for that. The MORAL argument is the most important argument of all. If you want to get to the root of immorality, simply look for the gun in the room. If a woman is forced to marry someone, does it matter how she's going to fend for herself without her coercive husband?

Secondly, we anarchists have offered solutions, many solutions, but we quickly found out that statists AREN'T interested in our ideas, only in winning arguments. Continued.

  • @CuriousMoth Continued . . . Govt is an institution of violence and force, but people act surprised when the govt does something that increases their power. I quickly realized that if you want to make a positive difference in the world, the govt isn't the entity to do it because it facilitates immorality and irresponsibility. What's happening now is predictable to libertarians. The only people who keep acting surprised are statists. You just want to transfer guns from them to you.

  • @CuriousMoth Continued . . . Whether it be a CEO seeking favor or people wanting others to pay for their healthcare, I see the problem as the same - violence and force. The main issue here isn't that the rich are exploiting the govt, it's that using the violence provided by the govt is the ONLY way to excel in this system. It doesn't matter whether you're rich or poor. And whether you believe it or not, whether it be by design or not, the govt would have it no other way.

  • @JackofOneTrade567 Yes, yes, we've heard that from every anarchist going, but what's your solution? You remove the government. Ok. Then what?

  • @CuriousMoth freedomainradioDOTcom/free/books/FDR_5_PDF_Practical_Anarchy_Audiobook.pdf

Try reading that. I wanted to finish it before i responded, but since it's been a while i might as well.

  • @CuriousMoth Also, you're still not getting it. CAPITALISM IS ABOUT CHOICES. It's not a system. It's how people behave without govt interference. What you want me to respond with is the lack of choice. You want me to offer you a new cage after you've shed this once.

WHATEVER ANSWER I GIVE YOU IS JUST AN OPTION.

  • @JackofOneTrade567 Thanks, man. I've downloaded Practical Anarchy and Everyday Anarchy as audiobooks. I'll have a listen tonight.

  • ... Oh god, there's like thirteen hours of this stuff O.o; Err... might be a while responding XD

  • Lastly... any one found lobbying should be prosecuted for treason against the american public and our american way of life. Start with Newt hes the biggest douche bag lobbiest so far.

  • We should also have another law that prevents any person or persons who has held office in mandating them that they cannot work for 5 years for any major corporation or bank and their bank accounts remain open to the feds for all those 5 years if within those 5 years magical money is in any shape or form found in their or their wives accounts then jail time for their asses.

  • I think we should pass a law that while our representatives are in office they cannot recieve any type of outside money, favors, lunches, gifts of any sort and if they do we should be able to convict them for taking a bribe and those who gave them such bribe should also be put in jail as well and the company they represent be made to pay no less than 1 million dollars in fines.

  • @dtreth

    Damn! Stupid phone keyboard. DX

  • @dtreth

The internet community as a while has difficulty with simple grammar.

  • Why can't anyone who watches this show understand that: "add" is to concatenate, sum, etc. and an "ad" is short for "advertisement" and tries to sell you something?

  • DAMN I'M SO ANGRY!! .....i feel like punching a congressman right now.

  • Our government system is truly broken. Very sad.

  • there is an add in the background advertising a bank..

  • @ 4:36 Golden Sex? lol

  • Romney's largest donor - Goldman Sachs . Obama's biggest donor - Goldman Sachs .How much has Ron Paul gotten from the banks ? I rest my case .

  • Surprise!

  • Can we PLEASE stop the arguing/debating/finger-pointing,etc. Yes, we've ALL been mis-guided, mis-led & mis-spent. "The well being of every cell in our body depends upon the well being of that which is next to it" -UG Krishnamurti To me, this goes 4 the body & nations. We,as a global family, can create a new paradigm (a resource based economy). Visit these sites 4 more info: thevenusproject, unitinghumans or thezeitgeistmovement dotcoms. We can move beyond politics, poverty & war "^_^"

  • Government must be forced out of meddling with all businesses, and then banks would CRASH and BURN and then better, sounder banks would be created, with actual money in them, and USD and US debt would crash and burn and people would stop bailing out banks and other companies and groups.

But it's not supposed to be up to government to set prices on any products or services. NOT UP TO GOVERNMENT TO SET PRICES.

    Interest rates - a price

    Wage - a price

Cost of bread - a price

    Regulation - a price

  • Actually the truth is the more successful the politician the less trustworthy. An apocalyptic event is needed in order to change that shit.

  • There is NO WAY that it costs 35 cents, unless you are saying that they charge each other that much, in which case it's just total bullshit anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @ganixaba lol you just wrote 174 million not hundred thousand, note the 6 digits after the 174.

  • people liking a comment about murder... only on youtube.

  • we should blow up wallstreet and all financial computer savings

  • Freedom now means free to be greedy

  • It's pretty amazing how Cenk will in this video spell out how tremendously corrupt both parties are, and yet in other videos act as though electing more Democrats is the best option because 'we have to choose between the lesser of two evils.' Yet in another video he'll talk about how the Democrats are our best option. No, I'm sorry, neither one is a good option. You have to ask yourself when does the lesser of two evils become irrelevant?

  • @FloppyFormatFrenzy democrats take the stance of "pay us off, or we will get you"

republicans take the stance of "pay us off, because we do what you say"

democrats are far closer to regulating the banks than republicans, as can be seen with dodd-frank act which the republicans are trying to destroy.

democrats are the lesser of 2 evils... by a long shot.

  • @LiekABaus That really doesn't sound all that different especially since industries give money to both sides. It's especially not the kind of thing that makes me think it's "a long shot" of a difference. The problem nobody wants to admit when it comes to the Democratic Party has the left is in golden handcuffs when it comes to things liberals care about. It's too costly to abandon the Democratic Party to the left, but the Democratic Party doesn't really have the left's interest.

  • Pulled out at 6 minutes. Couldn't take it any more. Too depressing to wake up next to Obama every morning.

  • 332 views and 699 likes?

  • @ci1160 make that 700

  • The banks lost their opportunity to do right by home owners because I believe they will be criminally investigated, indicted and jailed at some point in the future.

  • @Iamichelleify LOL! funny one, the banks as people have already said "run the place" nobodys going to jail LOL! they wont even be fined more then they make doing criminal ectivity. they'll pay a small little fine for CRIMINAL activity and be let off the hook.

  • @exiledpain6 ...Welll, the pendulum always swings back sooner or later, don't give up hope prematurely

  • @Iamichelleify by who? lol every high ranking politician in your Country has been bought and paid for.

  • @Hulkamania4eva You don't have to tell me, I know! :-) But one can hope....

  • Sign the petition at Wolf-PAC! Seriously, please go do it!

  • 'Banks spent billions on lobbying'

    You don't say!!

  • that the difference between democrat and republican.. at least SOME of the democrat aren't bought

  • What? Banks? Spending on lobbying for interest?

    *Sarcastic Vomit*

  • if you're pay for an over price home, just give it up and better to save your money, house aint worth jack shit anymore, not now and not decades to come. to the math you're salary vs home price now.

    Fuck Ron the nazi lover

Anonymous took on the nazis and the cult of paul, they're true heroes!

  • lol wtf is with Anna's face on that computer screen in the back there.

  • OF COOOUURRRSSEEEE

  • You know Obama failed as president because there haven't been any assassination attempts.

  • @rminitials I tell people that and they think i'm crazy. So true.

  • @rminitials Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez

  • I'm so glad I subbed to this channel. My new daily news source. Thanks guys!

  • Damn what a good investment. Now that's what capitalism is all about.

  • @MobRulesNow have you read v for vendetta?

  • They are doing it because they are building a corporate pyramid full of rich mens money.

And the lobbyists are not working for the BANKS themselves, otherwise they would be doing things that would stop them collapsing longterm. No, the lobbyists are working for the EXECUTIVES and doing whatever they can to keep the billion dollar bonuses coming despite the fact that what the banks are doing will cause thier own collapse.

  • @dangerouslytalented You're absolutely right. And it actually helps me sleep at night knowing it'll all come crashing down soon. They have, in a last desperate attempt to keep this cancerous system alive, amped up their efforts to an unsustainable level. Something, at some point, will give.

  • @seriousguynogames3 Problem is, they will flee with billions in gold to those luxury manmade islands in Dubai, and we well all be left with the flaming wreck.

  • It should be illegal to lobby in the US. I fully support the US and our Constitution, but that country no longer exists. Welcome to the corrupted USBSA........the United Socialist Bank States of America. Est. 2012

  • We've got to start blowing up corporate offices of banks.

  • @MobRulesNow get ready to get detained man...

  • @MobRulesNow That's not the answer! Come on... We need to take out each tyrant individually, that way we don't have to worry about innocent folks getting hurt. ;)

  • @MobRulesNow Fire works just fine.

  • @MobRulesNow No horrible i dea just take money out of politics

    wolf-pac(dot)com

  • @MobRulesNow they'll collapse under their own failures soon enough, no terrorism required

  • @muetter They have an entire planet of emerging markets, they are not so tied to the American conumer anymore.

  • @MobRulesNow That might be the ONLY solutuon sadly

  • @10290gilmore If you blew up their corporate offices, politicians wouldn't waste any time granting them extra-legal powers under a revised patriot act as well as another bailout. I don't know why I even pay taxes anymore, maybe in the hopes that 2% of it might help someone else... but it seldom does

  • @MobRulesNow No, what we need to do is elect Libertarians instead of Republicans and Green Party candidates instead of Democrats.

  • @MobRulesNow ...not to forget the sellout politician-fuckfaces who SELL us for a fistfull of greenbacks!!

  • @MobRulesNow If we do that the civil war will begin and the NWO will crush us the hard way.

  • @MobRulesNow the first rule of fight club is that you do not talk about fight club!

  • WOLF DASH PACK DOT COM!

  • Buddy Roemer is the only candidate who's entire platform is about attacking corruption and getting the money out of politics. Unfortunately he doesn't stand a chance, but still, I could easily overlook his pro-life stance in favor of the tremendous benefit of having a guy like him as commander-in-chief. Not even Ron Paul is willing to attack this issue head on since he espouses the belief that MONEY is SPEECH. His 2002 article explains his skewed interpretation of the 1rst Amendment perfectly.

  • @Try2MakeSenseOrSTFU Ron Paul simply does not believe in government. His is a fantasyland of everybody working together without need for any legislation.

  • @dangerouslytalented Actually his fantasyland has only white christians in it

    (htt) (p:/) /pirase (c.c) om/

Hopefully anonymous torpedoes his wrinkly nazi ass!

  • Death to bank of america

  • America,

The political system is NOT broken--it WORKS for the greedy elite.

They've corrupted it. It's time to throw a monkey in the wrench.

    For each upcoming election,

FIND THE LEAST BOUGHT BASTARD AND VOTE THEM IN.

  • @TheLookingOne It is working for the greedy elite like steroids work for pro wrestlers.

Great for short term gains, but will fuck up the whole system longterm.

  • File this under "NO SHIT SHERLOCK"

  • @SHEEPLEwhisperer you are all being lied to - illuminati.me.pn

  • @LysergicDude12 Grow up.

  • @LysergicDude12 :) a website with a FF7 tune in the back ground.... LOL. Do you actually believe the website

  • @LysergicDude12 I checked out that site. Are you really that gullible?

  • You can't have it both ways. You can't want the government to regulate the banks, the food & drug market, look after the poor, set a minimm wage, look after socialized medicine, yada yada yada... and then expect them not to get bribed. Any institution with that amount of power is a target for for other institutions who would like the rules bent in their favour. When you want the government to do more shit on your behalf, this is the kind of shit you get. More power = more attraction.

  • What if the fed distributed 7.7 trillion dollars to all citizens in our country? I'll bet the economy would pick up real fast.

  • @rbauer1632 $22,000 to each person, thats counting undocumented workers and others not included in the census

  • OWS all Day !

  • DEMOCRACY? hahahaha DEMOCRACY? They represent the corporations now not us.

  • the conspiracy theorists were always right... its "normal" people who live in a fantasy world.

  • 9/11 was an obvious inside job

  • if they have money for lobbying they have money for taxes...

  • 4;37 Cenk says "Golden Sex" when he means Goldman Sachs.

  • @scottandrewhutchins god shut up who gives a fuck

  • Banks owning Congress=Taxation without representation.

  • Nic Cage: YOU DON'T SAY?

  • wolf-pac needs to coordinate with the united republic. It only makes sense to join forces to accomplish similar goals.

Thumbs this up so Cenk can see this

  • £2.5m of British taxpayers' money to influence politicians reforming US financial law: guardian.co.uk/business/2012/jan/27/royal-bank-scotland-washington-lobbyists

  • Unless we get most the gop out of congress and somehow get a anti-lobbying bill through it, we will remain helpless.Lobbying is the root of all that is wrong in government.

  • All that money could have helped so many people...Oh well keep throwing money into the hole!

  • Ron FUCKING Paul, you idiots.

  • @ohedd Sure because he'll try to stop the Fed giving away money, but fail because Congress still won't support that idea, but then he'll still allow them to charge outrageous interest rates and foreclose on people.

This will come as a shock to you but - Ron Paul is not the Messiah.

  • @DisturbedHavok He'll stop the banks from pumping lobby money into the pockets of the senate. He'll keep them from doing the bidding of the corporations. With a president that answers to nobody but the people he can preach for the abolishment of the fed.

  • In Canada it is illegal to lobby with anyone working in the public sector until 5 years after they leave it, when they have no influence left, and guess what, no bailouts and no financial crisis.

  • @dave19941000 All thanks to the Liberal Party and Jean Chretien.

  • @dave19941000 You're kidding yourself if you think Canada had no bailouts or stimulus package.

  • @Dane42o We had a stimulus package, one which worked, but there was no bailouts, not one bank recived any money from the government, because none of then needed it. Do not confuse Canadas Action Plan with a bailout.

  • @dave19941000 They did. Look at Canada Mortgage and Housing (CMHC).

  • @Dane42o Canada Mortgage and Housing? As is the Crown Corporation CMHC? The corporation owned, controed and run by the government (which is also not a bank), THAT CMHC?

  • @dave19941000 That CMHC yes that gave billions in, what most logical people consider to be, bailouts.

  • @dave19941000 we need to adopt here in the United States, but I doubt we ever will.

  • @dave19941000

i know it's hard to believe but we're not all stupid!

  • @H3770mynameis Where did I say anyone was stupid?

  • @dave19941000

oh, i guess you didn't. i just figured you were implying that americans are stupid, which isn't a bad assumption anyway

  • @dave19941000 It's also illegal for corporations or unions to donate to candidates, and private donations are limited to $1,100.00, candidates can only contribute up to $1000 to their own campaign, and you can't donate more than $20 to a political party per year.

  • @dave19941000 That's pretty much why I'm moving back to Canada after I get my degree. The government is so much more stable.

  • @dave19941000 Thats it im moving to Canada

  • @dave19941000 can i move to canada, cause if i have to pass that bank of america head quarters one more time, im tempted to steal billions and use it to start a fire.

  • @dave19941000 Go fuck yourself you stupid Canadian piece of shit go suck a fucking dick!

  • @Shonenut213 And the reason your insulding me is because...?

  • Sadly the banks are the kings of there pyramid scheme and the corporation and politicians just sit and beg for more like dogs :( it is sad to watch the effects of there form of feudalism

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from

time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

It is its natural manure." : quote Thomas Jefferson

  • The stupid thing is, in the UK those surcharges on using atms dont exist (at least for the majority of banks) and its free, lol.

  • at leat the chinese govt are transparent assholes. no false morality in russia either.

  • wolf-pac.com

  • Look at the bottom right, anna's face xD

  • @SomethinDwnUrPantss thank you sooo much!!!

  • There is no such thing as left and right wing anymore... the system is broken and its been hijacked by massive corporate interests. In the end we are all gonna be slaves for the last corporation standing and this world that we grew up in will cease to exist. In the fight between good and evil, the evil is winning because it is a tightly controlled small group of people that are extremely organized and have a plan....WE DONT! we cant even elect someone to represent us! because the rigged system!!
