@polka23dot there are words in arabic that cannot simply be translated to english. Thus the phrase "Holy war" came to being. And mind you there are five pillars of Islam: Shahadah, Salah, Zakah, Saw'm, and Hajj. None of which refers to jihad. Jihad is actually what Dr.Zakir said, fighting for peace and in the name of Allah. However that does not mean you hit the first blow. When you are attacked, you attack, and that is what Jihad is.
