@Bucs80SC actually I am referring to laying acetylene on it's side. The inside of an acetylene bottle is actually filled with a foam material soaked in acetone which dissolves the acetylene. Laying it on it's side causes it to run to the top in concentrate and allows the acetone to escape. This can be unsafe if you don't allow it time in the vertical position before actual use. The general rule of thumb is to allow the tank the same amount of time vertical as you had it horizontal. Good Luck!
@robbygill1 I am aware that the tanks should be stored upright. However, The tanks I have are hollow tanks packed with a porous rock (not foam) that is saturated with acetone. If you have to store a tank on its side you should wait between 30 min and one hour before use. Its not like if you store one on its side for a month that you have to stand it up for a month before use. The only reason for that is to prevent the acetone from leaking or going into the regulator on your torches. But thanks!
@naumajar If I carried filters I would need to drive a tractor trailer. (too many diffrent sizes) If the customer needs them we sell them boy the box and have our parts driver bring them out.
Thanks for the video, been working for other contractors for 13 years now. Finally passed the Arkansas Class A Contractor exam.
Bought a used service van, almost have all my own tools. Holy Crapp is this stuff expensive. Got about $3,000 just in storage racks "Adrian Steel". And another $10,000 just in tools. What State do you work in?
Very good.thanks for the tour....good tech.

Be careful with that acetylene laying on its side...I'm sure you know.

@robbygill1 That bottle can't move at all where it is stored. There is no danger there.
