Thanks for the comment,3N14 has always been open to Hesperia, although they have put a gate, that they close now and again, which they have no right to do,but do it anyway, its our forest, roads, and trails, not there's,but that's happening all over our Country, not just here,it's way past time to fight back, but we must,Good luck in Montana, keep it free.
I used to drive out past Big Pine Flat on 3N14 from Fawnskin to camp and hunt coyotes until '96, when I moved to Montana, but I never drove all the way to Hesperia, as I think the road was closed that far down at that time. The "Backside" was a great place to grow up, and I miss it all, but not enough to move back from Montana.
What makes me sick is that the City Of Hesperia probably considers the population growth a successful thing. They don't realize that the population is what destroyed Hesperia! It was also getting more & more gangs and stuff before I moved. It's supposed to be the "High Desert". Not the "High City". If you get what I mean. I keep having having dreams every single night of my parent's old house on 5th x Sycamore. I loved it yet nobody wanted to buy it.
I was born in AV, my dad was born in VV and my grandfather was born in San Bernardino. I have been all over the world, but I still live in the area. It has gone nuts! I remember one stop sign on Bear Valley Rd. The Bushel Basket, one theater - The El Rancho. Those were the days!
Wow, I can't believe how nobody ever comments on some of these videos! I am the former Miyamotorules, and nobody has made a single comment since my last one 4 months ago. There must not be many people who like Hesperia? They sure could have fooled me. Hesperia was so darn jam packed with people (especially immigrants) before I moved from there that it was starting to resemble L.A. I miss the old days when Hesperia had a LOT MORE desert and not many people. Those days were like Heaven.
thanks for the comment,my folks bought a lot here in 1953,i moved here in 1984,loved it with less people, and when more of the places we could ride were open, now a lot have been closed off and getting worse, and yes it is looking more like L.A.,two bad,I miss the old days also.
Since my last couple comments were erased, Here I go again...
My family is suffering from the worst debt we've EVER had in our lives! We're going to lose our current house the same way we lost our CA. house if someone doesn't buy it! I feel like every time it's "MY FAMILY" trying to sell something, nobody wants it! Why is that? Why can't someone buy this house and save us from losing everything? WHERE'S OUR MIRACLE?
I'm begging for someone to buy my parents house in Hesperia! 11620 5th Ave. Hesperia, CA. 92345 to be exact. It's an older house but one of the biggest on the block. It needs some fixing up done to it, but I alway's loved it! For anybody who's fairly wealthy, this house would look so awesome if it was fixed up real nice and remodeled. It's been on the market for a year now. Why doesn't anybody want it?
Talk about making a guy cry! Hesperia California is where I was born and raised and I lived there happily for 28 years! My family was forced to move because of debt and my mom couldn't get medical insurance. Seeing the good ol' California desert in this video brought tears to my eyes! God I miss it! But the ridiculous population is why my family and I will NEVER go back. But I'll alway's think of it as home.
i did not plan on makeing anyone cry, thanks for the comment,i have been here since 1984,it has changed a lot since then, lot more people, but i still love it for all the trails, diffrent weather, and fun 4 wheeling, close by.thanks again.
ralphdjeeper, I should be the one thanking YOU! You allowed me to see what I didn't think I'd ever get to see again, The High desert. Some of your video reminded me of the desert where my brother took me hunting a few times. It was somewhere off of Stoddard Wells Rd.[if that's spelled right]. There were several mine shafts here and there. Around the old quarry where he used to work. Thanks for making this video, it brought back fond memories.
Cey this is Chris who used to have the yellow scout! Back when that trail was open(20 yrs ago?) there was another trail coming off of it that went to horse Springs campground. The campground used to have 2 ways in.
Hi Chris,i think i remember seeing you at deepcreek, yes it comes out just north of the horse campground, also i still have the red 48 flat fender jeep,350 chev.eng. i take to deepcreek.

No its up 3n14 that runs from Hesperia,Ca. up to Big Bear,Ca. but you turn off that trail to the left just past the horse ranch about 1/4 up.
