That happened with my Cinnamonkey. He was stuck by an oak tree, and then I got a challenge from Pinata Central for a Cinnamonkey. I thought if I sent him to a party, he might be unstuck when he got back.
Unfortunately, when he got back he was stuck AND invisible. I see the ZZZZs coming from his head, but I can only interact with him with my shovel out. And I can't even break him or sell him. He just sits in my garden taking up space.

that only happens when you have too much pinata's in your garden so it makes them invisible because u have over 20 pinatas or somthing like that in your garden
the way i did this (by accident) was when you get the pinata requests from pinata central, you place the box anywhere then build loads of fence (as much as possible) go to the pack option and then wait until the pinata walks through the fence, once it is half way through pack the pinata and when it returns it should be invisible!!! once it is invisible you can only hit it with spade.

That happened to me. You can see their shadow. They are underground, because sometimes I see their skin popping up.
