i got it, if your in recovery then u have the usb going into the itunes symbol but if in dfu its the side u plug into your ipod going into the itunes logo

Hi.

I have just bought a 16gb iPod Touch which I am trying to use on Windows XP.

When I connect the iPod to my PC it brings up the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' but does not open up iTunes.

On the Hardware Wizard it trys to search for the driver but cannot locate it, whenever it tries to search it comes back saying "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot locate the necessary software".

I have a jailbroken Ipod touch 2G 3.1.3 ( by spirit). For some odd reason my itunes started to see my ipod as an iphone and i cant put anymore music on it. So i went to restore it, but i did on my ipod itself, not via itunes. Now my ipod has been stuck on the screen with the apple and the circular thingie for the past 12 hours or so. now click on the windows logo on the website. Now run the file. There will be a "Make it ra1n" button. Click on that and plug your ipod touch in. After its in, it will do its thing. If your screen remains black after its finished, keep on running it

it seems no one has had the same problem as me..right away when i turn mine on it goes straight to the apple logo..and it will flicker on and off every minute or 2. i plug it in and it stays on the logo..and if i hold the home and power button it MIGHT go to the "charging batter" logo..where it continues to show low battery (on red) even after charging for days. it's pointless trying to fix it lol.......unless anyone can help? like a software or something maybe?
