  • That's Awesome !!! However... I was also wondering if it's possible to make it work on the new non-reflective screens which in my opinion is very benefitial.

  • Very nice. I particularly like that brush input works just fine.

Apparently Apple fans realize this shows the whole capacitive dalliance they led is over and we can return to superior resistive approach as they instantly defaulted to the laugh at you/fight you stage. But then the technical merits are obvious.

With the return of the stylus and the option of other approaches and the flexibility of Pixel Qi technology the tablet can now truly reach maturity.

  • I don't know why everyone is talking about this or the iPad when tablets have been out for a long time and the same goes with touch screen. I think Fujitsu has some of the best Tablets on the market.

  • Stantum Slate PC Cool

  • the screen looks crappy, lik ipad loks nice and finger print resistant, but this looks like crap!

  • these people with retarded bashing don't understand that this is a PROOF OF CONCEPT, it's showcasing the 10-point multitouch technology, NOT the software or OS, the screen tech, which can detect both capacitive touch and resistive objects without the need for a stylus; this is for companies that would adopt the tech INTO their own products (i.e. Apple, HP, etc. are one of this company's potential customers)

  • show how to use office? iPad can do with iWork can slate?

  • @teatap of course, every tablet or slate runs office, my windows phone runs office and they all can run it when you have other applications open, and they do it since 10 years ago, and you can edit, save wherever you want, share by bluetooth, usb, etc. etc. etc.

  • updates so slow, when u were using hte stylus to write on screen, you would draw a letter and show up 1cm behind where u wrote it, not baggin the OS or the screen, probably saving money so they used a slower cpu, probably also depends how many applications u have open

  • what a piece of shit

  • Impressive. More of a "wow factor" than other slates/ipads I have seen.

  • I really can't see the iPad as such a "revolutionary" device. It doesn't even match up to this stantum slate pc =)

  • Just as any other apple product nothing special or revolutionary, but thanks to good marketing and fanatic fanboys, they have great success!

  • And the ipad is about 10 years behind any other tablet pc....

Single tasking? FFS, a joke in this day and age.

  • i'm sorry i don't seem to be understanding are you making fun of the iPad?

  • @jezreex the iPad is a tablet. Stantum's tech is a touch screen and only that. You can't compare the two.

  • @netbooked Yes, thats why is called a Slate PC......... False advertising.

  • @netbooked I get it but touch screen for what?

  • @netbooked needs stylus to be a true tablet pc

    Yay giant ipod touch

  • @jezreex hahahaha totally agree with you!

  • @jezreex

it shows that resistive screens wich are better, are capable of recognizing multiple touches.

  • To me it is quite obvious that they don't really know ho to use their touchscreen. Most applications involving multitouch are nothing but pointless games. They failed to set their focus onto usability issues, which is very obvious in the handwriting recognition: Who would want to confirm every single word written with some kind of "OK" button?! Sorry, this really is not more than a proof-of-concept. I don't want to advertise, but you should see what they made with Apple's iPad in comparison!

  • @sgtschnitzel42 It is a proof of concept / development device as stated and the software on board are just demos to demonstrate some of the touch capabilities to potential clients who may be interesting in adopting the touch screens.

  • @sgtschnitzel42 you have no idea what you're talking about, this video is about the screen tech, not the software, jeez how do you function being so uninformed, it's RIGHT THERE in the description of the video, countless comments and the audio itself; what did you do? watch the video on mute without your reading glasses on? sheez some people.

  • Make it to nokia touch phones

  • come on don't be a fan boy. anyway apple is so overpriced. it is ridiculous. and who cares really if they're computer is ugly.

  • The glossy screen just kills it. Give me a screen that's good to the eye and I'm definitely buying it(kind of like the kindle).

  • you mean e-ink then buy the pixel q-i but be warned it is an android tablet

  • Give us artist working drivers for painter and photoshop and you'll have the whole art industry buying it :p

  • Wonder whats underneath. This could be the tablet I'm looking for... looking for good multi touch, and fast enough for hulu and netflix on demand. I would love a tv tuner and gps in it also like the t91 was supposed to have... but got dropped... sigh

  • lol - no it isnt' Capacitive is useful in some cases... but sucks for using stylus... accuracy... and others... (easier to get multitouch though)... but they look like they fixed that!

  • magnificent interface, many computers, will be goodf specially for netbook, or other portable device

  • По большей части я тут пальцетыкалку увидел нежели по настоящему что то новое и практичное)))

  • i love ?

  • waste of money

  • congrats, your video made it to the front page as one of the most viewed :)

  • Рисовать на ней прикольно, наверно

  • В кс на таком не пошпилиш :)

  • medium... 3/5

  • This touchscreen seems better then the sony L

  • not impressed.

    3:43 lol

  • Geez what if you don't wash your hands after you have been to the washroom?

  • reminds me of working at maccas ;)

  • The guy in the video can't even type.

  • As an aspiring cartoonist, my jaw dropped when he used a brush on the screen. My eyes are locked on this.

  • what would u use this for? this is not for home use i think.. what group of people are they targeting?

  • They are targeting as many industries as they can. They want touch panels in everything. Mobiles. Netbooks. etc.

The features are put in there to cover all usage scenarios. I am curious if they can cut back from features to save money - something I will ask about.

  • It's about the screen technology, not a product.

  • Looks great, just needs to be faster to avoid the obvious lag on the writing and painting apps.
