  • ok so why doesnt he give an example of these so called contradictions?

the bible is full of contradictions, the 4 books of the gospel all give different accounts of jesus

the bible makes claims that isnt supported by written history

when jesus died a darkness over took the sun and there was an earthquake...neither of these were reported in history,if a supernatuaral darkness overtook the sun and an earthquake in jerusalem would have been written by a lot of people in jerusalem

  • Please put the list of the contradictions you discussed here. I can use that in my family too.

  • don't like comercials(spelling)

  • This guy is speaking towards contradictions, but does anyone notice he contradicts himself in his own story? lol

Yes, of course they have to preach based on lies...their entire belief system is based on them.

  • This guy is speaking towards contradictions, but does anyone notice he contradicts himself in his own story? lol

  • Notice howthis liar did not describe any of the contradictions that his imaginary friend brought to him....Christians are such liars...

  • Awesome video, and all true -- thanks for posting!

  • it's nice how i can google it and find all of the contradictions in a few seconds

  • John 4:8, 1 cor 13, and revelations 20:11-12 are totally contradictory to eachother.

god is love, love keeps no record of wrong doing, yet god will pull out his list of whos been naughty or nice...

  • how about dieing for 3 days, and then being resurrected? is that not a contradiction... to the laws of nature?

this guy gave no examples of him refuting contradictions.

  • That is why we don't say that Jesus naturally rose from the dead, instead it was a supernatural act. But if you are saying supernatural things cannot occur, then you have the burden of proof to substantiate that claim.

  • i say there are no supernatural acts, why? no evidence, provide me with some, ill make my judgement based on that.

  • "how about dieing for 3 days"

Actually, it says the prophecy of being dead for 3 days was fulfilled, but that "three days" only lasted about a day and a half. So not to be nit-picky, but you're actually talking about 2 contradictions, not 1.

  • The jews counted a day from 6:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. as a day. So that is three days.

  • @pastormtippett

Although Jews may have reckoned a part of a day as a whole, this does NOT agree with what Yeshua declared about the length of time He would be in the heart of the earth. To further strengthen His point, Yeshua referenced the story of Jonah in the belly of the fish. Three days & 3 nights are exactly that. The problem that we face is that MOST so called believers are quite content with believing TRADITION versus "studying to show themselves approved of GOD".

  • @pastormtippett

Part 2: The answers are to be found within the pages of The Holy Bible, we simply have to be diligent with our investigation allowing the Holy Spirit in perfect agreement with ALL OF SCRIPTURE to be our guide.

Tradition can at times can be an obstinate barrier to overcome because it is so often wrapped with human emotions & pageantry. Yeshua faced the same problem of TRADITIONS by the Pharisees that prevented them from walking in THE LIGHT OF GOD'S TRUTH -Christ himself.

  • @pastormtippett

Part 3: Christ was NEVER crucified on a Friday afternoon. Again, the Friday crucifixion is assumed of men because the Holy Bible addresses the reality that the Sabbath was fast approaching, therefore our Lord & Saviour had to be placed in the tomb before sunset according to Jewish Law. The answer to this apparent dilemma (& it's really not), is to be discovered in the rites of The Passover / The Feast of Unleavened Bread.

    For His Glory!!

  • because Jesus was God and did not sin he was resurrected... seriously cross-reference

  • Ok here's a simple one- Thou shalt not kill.

God orders death like most of us order eggs.

  • 1. Not a contradiction. As the one who gave the law he has the right to make exceptions.

    2. the more accurate translations say ''you shall not murder''. The bible makes a disctintion between murder and killing. The difference? The intent of the heart.

  • So saying one thing and doing another is honest?

  • We can't murder, beecause we didn't create the people around us. Even our children are ultimately God's creations. So God has the right to do as he pleases, being God and thus sovereign.

  • So it pleases god to kill humans?

  • @buddie169 no

  • this would give parents the right to murder their children, is this what you saying?

  • @sanjay926 no

  • I wonder if all my experiences will end up as long-winded stories when I get old.

  • Lol @ pratikh.

  • lol "i asked for a mere fity you only found 30 its not as easy as you think" the guy lost any credibility with that one line. to me it seems apparent that it is filled with contradictions considering the fact the kid found 30. i have to shut my brain off to see their side of the arguement. thats one thing i refuse to do. it is. annectdotes dont do it for me, ill go pick up the book he mentioned give it a read to see something more concrete. contradictions nah multiple accounts yep word of god?

  • He also said that none of these, after being more closely examined, were actually contradictory.

  • The supposed contradictions are all inserted without context. Don't be marvelled at all the pages of sites filled with alleged contradictions. Pick out the verses that are allegedly false and read the entire chapters of them, most likely it's based on a mis- understanding and a lack of knowledge than an error.

  • Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

  • Yacoub80,

You are correct. No amount of "evidence" will convince someone that the bible is God's word...and the bible tells us why that is...the natural man doesn't understand/accept the things of God.

Even if someone accepts the 30 here, he'll find some other reason to not believe, because the unbelief is not a lack of evidence, but a blinding. People are converted by the preaching of the gospel, not good arguments.

  • (part 2)

Its tedious and tiresome, and rather obnoxious how often it needs to be done these days. And the result? So far in my experiences it doesn't mean anything to them even when you show them the truth. Only if God wills to save them does it matter. The rest just fine other reasons not to believe.

  • It is rather tedious, but since I've been learning of the supposed contradictions and learning how they really aren't so, my faith has grown that much more.

  • yeah, good point. it has also been beneficial to my faith as well, but at the same time i find it a bit depressing how far things have fallen and continue to get darker. hopefully that just allows the true light to shine brighter.

  • Yes, it can get depressing, but remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb. 13:8) Anything can happen now... ANYTHING (aside from the obvious: God can't lie, can't sin, etc.), but it won't negate the fact that Jesus Christ is alive for evermore.

  • (Is 60:2) See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples ..

(Jn 1:5) The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

(Jn 3:19) This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

  • I don't get RC's story, since it's very easy to find an atheist website with lists of dozens of them. There's no need to sit and find supposed contradictions yourself these days, you just Google it and copy/paste. And then the onus is placed on the Christian to take the time to demonstrate how they're not contradictions or errors.

  • These days, but not those days. This is most likely an old story - the Internet wasn't readily available as it is today.

  • It's one of the great joys to look at the supposed contradictions, especially the ones that shake you, then see God's word justified in the end. It's mind-boggling to think back on them, and how they used to loom dark and ominous, only to shatter after a little study.

  • Great vid, Lane, thx.

  • Nice, I had to face this with an athiest on Youtube. He refered me to a website that exposes approximately 500 Bible contradictions. I told him that I would answer the first 10 to make him understand that it is mostly misconceptions that bring people to believe in contradictions (and sometimes dishonesty). So I answered the first 8, because I had long explanations and asked him if he needed more, but he said it was ok.

  • Hey MrKatt :) I had to do the same thing with my brother. He's a Christian today.
