  • I can remember when they were for sale. Never thought I would see one fired. Thanks.

  • this guy seems the least likely to shoot a gun and yet here we are

  • my god just shoot the damn thing

  • @1594simonsays

You can't wait 30 fucking seconds?

  • @1594simonsays well, at 100 bucks a shot, it's good to wait.

  • Lean forward.....oh wait....no recoil :P

  • IT's BOB CARR!!!!!!!

  • Good job. You just wasted $100.

  • @ninjast4r His goggles give him the wep test right! :P

  • Have to love these things. Instead of a moving firing pin it moves the entire bul...err... rocket backwards. Has more energy at a long range then short. Such a unique fir....rocketarm.

  • @MrDistancenow apparently as it takes a while to get up to speed if you shot at anyone standing close to you the rocket would just bounce off! I wonder if they were ever used in combat?

  • @ClydeRowing I think it would hurt bad at close range, but would not kill. Maybe around 30 meters or more? I do not know to much about it.

  • @MrDistancenow

Actually at close range a rocket has very little power behind it for the rockets to develop maximum thrust takes 20+meters

  • @shiconia Yepp, my guess was right then. I was guessing around 30 meters.

  • James Bond..................

  • hmm, i am unimpressed. at point blanck this thing probably wouldn't be as deadly as a pellet gun... at 50 feet it's probably not very pleasant. the thing with rockets is they accelerate throughout their flight, bullets are alaready at maximum velocity upon exit of the bore and thus decelerate though out their flight... energy dump requires a projectile to stop in target. i'm sure these rockest would stop in their target but how much energy do they dump...?

  • this weapon looks combat ineffective compared to my 357mag

  • @keltingr not true.. a gyrojet round could penetrate even the toughest body armor of the time without hesitation because of the speed.. problem was..it being a rocket took some distance to hit its maximum speed

  • Was this edited by Senior Spielbergo ?

  • @Turkalj

It is in a seperate video from a seperate view of same shooting, but hard to even find the impact. There is no explosion either.

  • Home defense of 2043

  • You fired two rounds of the most rare ammunition in the world and you didn't record the rocket going down range and impacting the target?

  • Man, this guy managed to make a hand-held rocket launcher boring.

  • @busterblakeney gyrojets are old guns made for ww2 or around that era, he did not make that! ammo for this gun is EXPENSIVE if you can find a reliable manufacturer, as i dont believe the rounds are made commercialy anymore.i could be 100 percent wrong but i swear ive read about this gun in a magazine and i think its made in germany

  • @Mr420ways no, made in usa, 1960s...

  • @cwross1976 did ya read the part in my comment where i said" i could be 100 percent wrong?

  • @busterblakeney I KNOW RIGHT!!.. Exactly what I said... how any of these motherfuckers get any kind of pussy is fucking beyond me... jesus...

  • this wasnt a weapon for astronauts?

  • For those of you that don't know, the gyrojet isn't a pistol, it was a handheld rocket launcher launching 13mm rockets at the target. The propellant was solid rocket fuel. Ammunition for this weapon ranges from $75 to $120 USD per round and it may not fire.

  • this is the first time I've seen one fired. Thanks for posting

  • Does this guy really have to say everything hes doing?

If you're going to be an annoying gun safety prick then don't handle a fucking gun because anyone who acts like this while handling a gun looks like a retard.

  • @drainocleanser OR you can not be a massive douche about it.

  • @drainocleanser I agree with Gaming Wookie... douches are bad.

  • @drainocleanser To be fair, it ain't your average pistol.

  • I have a Gyrojet carbine. Might have to be selling it, but hope to fire it at least once. It's just so expensive to shoot. Cool to see one in action!

  • Why is he in camouflage?

  • @kidd912thomas why aren't you

  • @T16Akatsuki probably because he's not an asshole.

  • the emperor protects... but having a loaded bolter helps too.

  • @albertjester

So thats what a bolter sounds like

  • @zombat Not really, no. They fire conventionally, _then_ the rocket kicks in. And gyrojet rounds don't explode inside the target either.

  • Wow... ya know, it'd really be nice to see an ammo company load for this weapon. I wouldn't mind paying the cost for the ammo, but the fact that no new rounds are ever being manufactured for it would make me feel guilty as hell for shooting it.

  • @Thatevilmidget wanna make some?

  • @Thatevilmidget yes, also, the only real problem with the gyrojet pistol was the ammo was defective. If they produced ammo for it now, they could make sure it was made correctly and worked right.

  • He just fired off Apx. $200. That was awesome to see.

  • behold, a thousand dollars or more worth of ammunition being fired. really wish there was a shot of the target.

  • is it semi auto or single action?

  • @sirengrove semi auto

  • @sirengrove Well neither basically, the hammer is on the front of the bullet and hits it into the firing pin.

  • Wow! A Gyrojet actually being fired! Way to go Bob! That was really cool!

  • You lucky son of a gun

  • @kylmrtn Please excuse my ignorance but I have no idea what this is. Could you please take the time to enlighten me?

  • @hendrix950

    Look up Gyrojet on wikipedia.

  • Really cool, but I would have liked to see the effects of it.

  • Where the Hell did you find the ammo for THAT?
