  • I love this song, it's a feel good jam. Rest in peace Ray Charles

  • the best quincy ray chaka

  • This song was on my mind all day!!! Had to come watch it, I miss the 90's great times and Music :)

  • Ahh good ol times,,of rythm & funk with Quincy Jones,Aretha Frankling,Chaka Khan ,Barry White, and more.

This kind of music never was the same when all the big artist and names disapeared from staged and music world.

Shame,,I miss that good times in 80s, but we ol folks born around 60-70s can enjoy their good music and good memoryes of them.

  • for me the best ray and uncle q

  • Whoa! Was that Djimon Hounsou at 0:23??

  • @IAmOysterman Yes it was

  • @IAmOysterman Yep. Kimora's baby daddy

  • @IAmOysterman that's what I thought!

  • @IAmOysterman Only if he is friends with Ponce de León... : ) This video is from 1989 !!

  • love this song and video, me and my mom fav . she gone now but everytime i hear and see this video i rember how we had such fun and how much she loved me r.i.p barbara j wilmore , love your babygirl keisha

  • black musicians were great! Earth wind and fire, jimi hendrix, quincy jones, ray charles, stevie wonder, bob marley (jamaican) prince, michael jackson. I could go on but you know what i mean. they are awesome!

  • Is that actually Chaka? It sounds like someone else. Her drinking and drugs problems were pretty bad then. I wonder if she made it to the session.

  • @MoPomer Actually she was clean at this moment..Quincy did not allow all of the unnecissary yelling and screaming...

  • i just love how the music just moves ray ! he just rocks back and fourth out of pure joy and natural instinct. he's like a big beautiful child.

  • @curtiscrush :) ikr gotta luv Ray mannn

  • Luv the antics & choreography in this

  • I saw Ray in Ohio in 1981, Chaka Khan in 1978, and Quincy in 1982.Have I been blessed or not?

  • Said ahhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiii wanna know!!

  • TOP ...QUINCY...

  • boy i miss the gud old day..

  • check out kimora's man djimon. and ray is having too much fun sliding around on that bench!

  • god I forgot how good these songs were

  • I Love it!!!

  • Very charming! I miss you, Ray!

  • Ray Charles is about to fall off the bench! LOL. RIP Ray.

  • is the African dude DJIMON honsu

  • @the44118 yep thatz him

  • the video is humiliating

  • @the44118 y u say that

  • @the44118 y u say that

  • @the44118 y u say that tho

  • @the44118 Why do I say this video is humiliating? well where do I start. 1st of all Ray Charles is trying to dance. 2ndly for the 90's fashion in it . 3rdly because it doesn't fit the song there are lil' kids kissing and ballet dancers all around. It's like they were trying to make Ray Charles be young and hip in the 90's to make him get the youth when it's RAY CHARLES...he doesn't need to sound like the new kids on the block or hip hop. It's the Video that's humiliating not the song.

  • @the44118 that's ridiculous. He's singing about being good to someone he loves and the video shows all kinds of couple having fun, being good to each other. Ray is having a fun time rocking it out on the bench. As for the 90's fashion. This was made in the 90's so when it came out the clothes were in style, not the least bit humiliating or embaressing. Every era dresses and looks different. That doesn't mean the fashions are bad. You're trying too hard to find fault that isn't there.

  • Nothin beats hearin this first thing in the mornin. Gets ur day goin

  • @checkavanz101 so true!

  • electro funk uhhh!!

  • LOVE this song - & what a great version - thanks!!

  • love chaka and ray in this song

  • this version is alright, but the original by the Brothers Johnson, in my opinion, is better.

  • Chaka... the power of luuuuuv... Love her magic voice in this song,

her deep touchin phrases gives me tears and strength, gives me new energy for life. In mind, Ray Charles was a great artist and a fantastic performer, but he can't make me cry like Chaka can.

The song made by The Brothers Johnson.

Louis Johnson plug'n thumbing from 3:27. The Great Quincy Jones left no one in behind - Amazin' track.

  • whos the 1 bum that said dislike? arrg!

  • actually the original version is by The Brothers Johnson

  • @singineasy That was the first "hit" version, but Quincy Jones wrote the song.

  • Ray Charles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is what you call MUSIC

  • Why has this song been removed from spotify! :(

  • Love this jam! We need more music like this these days!

  • Djimon Honsou!

  • Ray fu**in' Charles. The grand master of soul music. And the high priestess, Chaka Kahn. I'll bet the Bros. Johnson love this remake-it smokes from the beginning to the end of the tag where Mr. Charles says, "Commeah-lemme love yeh!" To answer the eternal question, "What is hip?", well, THIS is hip. Like all great music it's timeless-22 years old and as fresh as the day it was cut. Thanks, Mr. Jones.

  • A feel good song & video:D

  • Love this song. Reminds me of a time in my life where there was absolute freedom and you could be without a care in your life, you could do, say, sing, dance and be whatever you wished and you were happy doing so.

  • All these years of listening to this song and I just found out that the man with the raspy voice was the one and only Ray Charles Robinson. Q Jones, Ray Charles and Chaka Khan. Pretty good colaboration. :)

  • i love this video

  • Quincy Jones is the only one to take a hit he wrote and produced for The Brothers Johnson in the 70's and remake for himself and sound even better than the original. Quincy Jones is the only one that could've pulled that off.

  • its sucks ass to be young these days, they will never have somebody like Ray Charles, Chaka or Qunciy Jones

  • @npscholes I agree. I wish I was a baby boomer. They had the best generation.

  • @npscholes I'm 16 and i'm fucking happy, i have possibility to enjoy music like that. It's really fantastic.

  • @npscholes Sucks to be young in america, where mainstream music is terrible. You can still find real artist out there.

  • Love those 90's.

  • @cpiman2009, and the 80's too.

  • When you can sell millions by just producing music and having other artists sing your lyrics and you're not even a singer, that's saying something, what producer nowadays has their own album and have various artists singing to songs and music they produce besides Santana? I'm just sayin'

  • great video.. gotta love the dancing

  • The song + video....AMAZING thank you Quincy, Ray and Chaka!!!!!!
