  • Back in the day I served with the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division for 4yrs. I was a Huey Helicopter crew chief, and I loved my job. I am 63yrs old, and I have never felt closer to any human being than I felt, and still feel for the men in my Company. Thank you for this wonderful tribute. Stand up, Buckle up, Shuffle to the door...WINGS OF THE EAGLE!

  • @coynable I appreciate that, sir. Thank you very much.

  • @coynable damn it must hurted when you saw your soldiers go down :(

  • @kaychi 2 fronts yes. Im an american and i support us but lets be serious. The western front was a joke compared to the Eastern Front with the Russians, the hardest fought battles of ww2 were on the eastern front. Then the pacific.

  • @ContinentalPatriot okay that is a load of shit... do some research the western battles were way harder to get through and also the only reason you think the eastern front was alot tougher is due to the fact there were way more countries involves which in turn means more casualties.. seriously do some research casualties dont mean everything in statistics of a battle you have to look at the whole thing.. hence the equipment involved number of soldiers etc etc

  • God Bless our American Soldiers.

  • @kaychi you can say some countrys faught harder like the russians using bare equipment that was out of date and they were up against all odds by the german empire and they used sheer hatred to fuil their war but i think every country no matter witch side all soilders should be honoured as they all faught and died for the cause THEY thought was right

  • @privatedeath23 america fought with little equipment barely trained troops, and teenagers to win against the british

  • This (Band of Broters) and the Pacific is the greatest Movies about WWII ever made....

  • Soldiers never die at all. We all just regroup in hell.

  • Wow i don't think I could kill anyone I get sad from watching it on movies :( On Another Note That Was fucking cool It Went in Sync :) RIP Every soldier Of WW2 Allies And Axis

  • long live my idol...metallica band!

  • yeah, not Airborne, AIR ASSAULT

  • i have a comment to the description 506 was NOT infantry but airborne

  • @atlronaldodrengen620

It was the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR).

Today, they are just known as the 506th Infantry, because they aren't technically airborne anymore.

  • @RobKenchu I Am A Proud Member Of The 506th Infantry, (MOS - 68W)

  • haha dont claim infantry if ur a 68w

  • @midnightv27 Do you know what 68W is? The infantry has a lot of people in it with 68W as their MOS

  • @Infantry506th infintry 11 b

  • @midnightv27 I'm Not Infantry, Thats My Div Numb Nuts

  • @atlronaldodrengen620 Technically while they were an Airborne unit their designation was 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Whe not on Airborne status a Parachute Infantry Regiment becomes an Infantry Regiment.

  • @atlronaldodrengen620 I Am A Proud Member Of The 506th Infantry, (MOS - 68W)

  • its true and its already happened but those video clips and pictures touch my heart LONG LIV0E AIRBORNE

  • my friends iniraq

  • Screaming Eagles- Airborne Forever, Forever Airborne

  • @HARLEYHANK1963 Carry on, Brother!

  • The youth before ww2 would of been looked down on by the men who fought in the trenches.

  • 506th?

  • I don't understand the question...

  • Excellent job, sir!

  • BoB :P

  • When men were men.Looking around at the youth of today..were fucked.

  • Not entirely sir, there is still have a glimmer of hope. There are a handful of young men out there (such as myself, I am 14) that I believe can save this nation from, as you so gently put it, 'being fucked.' In case somebody was wondering, I'm no nerd or geek, just a smart kid that understands the meaning of the word "respect". Sometimes I really do wish the youth of today would just grow the fuck up..

  • Well, all honors go to you and your father son.

He has raised an honorable young man.

  • right on this is what I want to do ypu know be a paratrooper only in the 82nd

All the way airborne, airborne all the way

  • You would probably end up surprised, the Youth of today will probably end up working a lot harder then their parents ever did, most of the work being fixing their parents mistakes.

  • @niagra898 Dont forget the young men answering todays call to stand up, hook up and shuffle to the door.

A crisp salute in the direction of Ft Bragg, NC, All the way!

  • I stand corrected Airborne.

    God Bless and protect them.

  • @niagra898 mostly bc we think todays wars are BS personally i would fight in a war but only for reasons of WWII

  • My naive' young friend.A monster is a monster, when you're young he lives in your closet. When you grow older it's then you realize monsters do exist, and unfor. evil is real.In many forms,it takes and changes it's shape but it's real. You're in denial and someone should have taught you better.WW 2,had it's monster that was confronted by forces of good, today that evil still remains and is every bit the threat. You're eyes are closed as is much of the youth of today.

  • @niagra898 oh my eyes are wide open my friend ik WWII was against a monsterous tyrant but u ignore the fact that today it's utter non-sense we went to iraq for oil and nothing more they lied about finding WMD's in iraq ask around at the troops they're agianst the war just as much as everyone else get ur facts straight and ik monsters aren't real except in the ancient times and in hell u must be one heck of a kid to rlly think i'm a kid

  • @niagra898 Looking around at the elders of today..we're fucked.

  • i also thank u on behalf of, 11th (victoria bc canada) Service Battalion

  • this is proof of why you never never surround paratroopers.

as a side note a fellow paratrooper

all dirty nasty legs need to just man up

  • "Dirty,nasty,leg" DNL!

lol..I haven't heard that in years!

    Good one.

  • It isnt our fault thye will not man up and jump lol

    Silly Dirty nasty Legs

  • my name is pfc.clark i`m a member of the 45th infantry division us.army on behalf of my unit i say thank you

  • yes it is Band of Brothers.

  • i am also an ex paratrooper, airborne all the way, this song is touching, we shall never forget those paras who fought, killed in battles while liberating europe during WWII

  • band of brothers ehm is it a movie or serie?

  • It's an HBO miniseries.

  • Dont worry we all know that Sergeants run the army.

  • Right Behind the Spec-e4 ;) no If ands or Butts. We Are the US Military

  • Airborne all the way!

    ~Tim

    WWII ADT

(ROTC commissioned, but I'll forgive you West Pointer :) )

  • "The world has turned over many times since I took the oath on the plain at West Point, and the hopes and dreams have long since vanished, but I still remember the refrain of one of the most popular barracks ballads of that day which proclaimed most proudly that

'Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.'"

    - GEN Douglas MacArthur

  • Its not they go to hell and are reborn, ?!

Its old soldiers never die, they go to hell and REGROUP

    Hooah

  • My favorite song and mini series

  • America sacrificed a lot of their children to liberate Europe. All of them R.I.P. and respect will always be due. But as much as I look up to them who died for us for the right cause the more disenchanted I get about US Foreign Policy. Not only in recent years but by looking back at least 40 years.

  • Why americans only make video honor to Americans soldiers? We (allieds countrys) and Sovietic Union fought as hard as Americans, or even more hard!

  • Yes, they did fight hard. No one's saying they didn't. They all deserve respect.

However, I wasn't looking to tell their story here. I wanted to tell the story of the 101st Airborne, featuring the 506th PIR. I served with the 101st ABN. I have an attachment to them.

We honor our heroes, as much as any other nation does for theirs. How many status of American leaders grace your home town? How many German leaders have memorials in your cities?

  • cool

  • The airbone is the best of the best!!

and this movie is the best movies i always saw!!!!

  • awesome!

  • The Airborne rocks!

  • You should make more videos..this is amazing.

  • Amazing job! Nicely timed, great pacing, and originality to boot.

  • well done, nice video, i really like it.
