Nice playing there. That's a very different version of Paddy from the one I know, esp in the B section. Where did the one you're playing come from?

What is your scale length?

Alligood - thanks for the kind words. This is a tenor-to-5-string conversion, so it's relatively short. It's fretless, and I have it set up w/ scale length just shy of 20". More info on this banjo on my website, see banjo #027.

Hi Jake - those are the heavy gage Minstrel strings. How's the snow up your way ??

Are you using standard nylgut strings or the heavier minstrel types to compensate for the lowered tension?
