  • No, he got the Navy Cross. It is still a very high award, but Marines who cover grenades to save the lives of others deserve the Medal of Honor. Apparently, Secretary of Defense Gates shot it down since doctors believed he won't physically have been able to have done what he did - in spite of witness testimony...

  • Its Bullshit they downgraded the MOH to a navy cross. Im glad the family denied it. Sgt. Aguinaga 1/3 A Co 2004-2007 2/24 E Co 2008-present

  • its very sad i think rafael deserves a medal of honor. because it takes alot of guts to do wut he did. rest in peace and live happy and freely in heaven.
