in the previous ball he asked "so what do you recommand to encourage affection?" "dancing " she said ,he invited her but why did not she understand already ? "I'm perfectly happy to oblige. What would you like most to hear? " means everything....how many times my boyfriend told me this ...i dont like because it means his lack of independant mind...and also how much he is able to please me ....so does darcy I suppose

you're right about the dancing thing - if she was like anyone else, she would have realized that. but Lizzie doesn't pay serious attention to those things, which just serves to make her Lizzie :)

i know! Miss Bingley in the 1995 movie was soooo ugly! but I guess we will never know how Jane Austen thought Miss Bingley was, she didnt say she was beautiful nor ugly... we dont have a description of Miss Bingley at all :(

she actually never describes any of her characters physically, at all. which makes her a brilliant author, since we don't need to fall back on those descriptions to create our ideas of her characters.
