HELP !!! I GOT G FORCE BUT IT DONT PLAY CHORUS ?? OR PHASER ??? ANY HELP I RE SET TO FACTORY BUT WHEN I PICK PATCH WITH CHORUS NO EFFECTS COME THREW ? I AM USING STRAIGHT INTO DESK AUX & ADDING GUITAR HELP PLZ
@davidrundmc try keeping a dry pipeline through your internal mixer at all times, and blend your effected pipelines to compensate. killdry off. because i use the gforce in stereo not w/d/w i want my dry signal mixed in clearly, and this dry pipeline gives me fast switching and stronger dry tone.
Amazing tone-I have watched this about 25 times sinxce yesterday. I am redoing my L.A. Sound Design rig and really want to speak with you or PM you over at HRI or TGP. Your sounds are truly inspirational. Email me at trlaw88@hotmail.com. Thanks.
You probably get this a lot but, I was just wondering what the main differences are between the TOL/Mica/and the Vendetta. You have pretty amazing tone no matter what you're playing. I miss the Mojave man but the TOL definitely has that lumpy sweet tone though.
the first eggie i heard was a mica played by a guy i bought a patchmate from in nohollywood. his tone was so great i was devoted to find out about the amps.
i played some micas soon after and they blew me away. i recall them being a bit more open and headroomy than my rocktron version, and liking channel 2 on the mica more for the SRV thing.
never played the vendetta. mojaves are more power tube derived and purer to my ears, but eggies are way more flexible and killer as well.
i'm grateful for players like that and friends and amazing builders like bruce egnater, victor mason, james tyler, and toymakers like tc that inspire me.
i think in minor pentatonic with a few major/chromatic passing tones ala randy rhodes/gary moore, sliding around chords harmonized against the key/scale, and landing on the relative major.
very nice tone, my question is; Have you ever tried this setup replacing the crate powerblock with a stereo tube poweramp? The egnaters effects loop or line out instead of speaker out into THD into gforce??? Do you crank the egnater at low overal volume and get this rich harmonics due to power tubes being pushed? really appreciate your advice, I have similar setup and a powerblock but dont wanna blow $300 on a THD without some advice
i have tried the eggie with stereo tube amp...more dynamics but there is something linear and predictable/repeatable with ss power amps i like too, especially live. eggie is very fat and dark so some tube power amps can be too mushy.
i like the thd so i can crank the head up and get power tube soak and compression that also helps the signal stay even more predictable, and helps the low gain tones feel and sing better.
what do you think about the g force vs axe fx?? as far as sound?? and user friendly?? I have been playing for awhile but am in the market for some type of effects.
just based on the fx, the axe sounds more intense but obviously i love the gforce.
the menu from the axe seems to have been based on the gforce, which once you understand it, is probably the best menu on any high end fx device i've seen for user friendliness and flexibility.
as nice as the gforce sounds, it's still one device doing many things.
ultimately the BEST tone comes from dedicated devices designed and noted for ONE particular effect, racked up PROPERLY and mixed externally...search my page for the bradshaw rack demo....that is the best effects devices combining the proper way to create the best potential effect laden tones of all.
Awesome tone !

@bulldog999
if unit is used, prior owner could have defeated effects or programmed the effects for real time midi controllers to activate.

@bulldog999
try a factory mono chorus first.
if no chorus is heard, enter the chorus menu and make sure the mix levels are up and that the chorus settings are on.

What scale modes do you tend to go to? All your solo's on the tube seem to be all in the same mode: which is awesome!

Hey I've got a question... The Tc Electronic G Force is like for recording with you're computer and software or itls a multifunctional amp effects?
kevenharbour 2 years ago
pretty sure the "G" in all of tc's G line of products stands for guitar but sure you could use it for recording
it's got balanced stereo outputs and spdif
