  • who the hell is gary cantrell

  • @jimbofr It's Jerry

  • awesome show men ship... the solo was a lil shaky though

  • The intro sounds kind of like a Led Zeppelin's Song, lol

  • Taylor Lautner @ 2:33

  • I'd like to here a drum & bass remix of this

  • @zutekeela You don't remix this masterpiece

  • love it.

  • They act like it's a grunge concert, they don't even notice that they don't have electric guitars.

  • What does Travis use to get his distortion? Amp/Pedel...anyone know what which one and what model?

  • 3:10 travis has a funny facial expression

  • Yummy! Love acoustic guitars and those arms...

  • I was a the last DOTN concert with the original lineup...WSU in Ogden, UT with Metallica and Gary Cantrell. I was never the same again.

  • @randommagnum actually the last show with the original lineup was after the Metallica tour was allready over with. After Ogden the Metallica tour went on to play Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas, & San Diego on Sept 23, 2008. Then the guys in DotN went on to do a few more one-off type shows the final 2 shows I'm aware of with original band are Louisville, KY Oct 24, 2008 & Dallas, TX Nov 5, 2008 - the next night was sched for New Orleans but was cancelled.

  • @rotaryrebel ummm..the original lineup hasn't played together since 1999. I'm gonna assume that you messed up on the dates. Unless theres clearly something that I missed.

  • @rotaryrebel so awesome, thanks for the upload.

  • @randommagnum

haha. It's actually Jerry Cantrell. :-)

Sure wish I could see Travis perform live. His music has changed my life forever.

  • @randommagnum Gary of Jerry Cantrell?

  • @AICALEXAIC The guy from Alice In Chains...damn, how many sticklers are there around here?!

  • @randommagnum Haha, sorry man

  • how the fuck did metallica get more mainstream than these guys?... fack

  • @outlaw457 Well, because Days of the New wasn't around to overtake them back in 1983. Here's the question we need to ask: how the fuck did bands like this not get more mainstream, but Lady Gaga is a household name? Answer: humanity is devolving.

  • Who's "Gary Cantrell"?

  • he looks, literally, like someone im going to high school with and grew up with. XD.

  • I need this music to live ........... God bless this man

  • GO THE TAKAMINE!!!

    :D

  • 99x has 90s hangover at noon here in Florida, best hour of radio.

  • i hope everyone realizes todays music is the reason the US is goin to shit. all rap and pop does is promote arrogance and only thinkin of yourself. stuff in the 90s was about being unique and doing what you love

  • @fossilbox1991 I agreed.

Love DOTN, from Chile, South America...

  • god ....these guys r amazing.......we missed out....i loved them when they were together, wondered what happened to 'em.....sigh.....so dam good

  • @lookb4Ucross Turned into Tantric dude.

DOTN randomly plays out every now and then.

  • @BLSberserkersdmf DOTN didnt turn into tantric.

  • @lookb4Ucross

they are still together but they are not signed to a label they are currently taking donations so they release there own album

  • god ....these guys r amazing.......we missed out....i oved them when they were together, wondered what happened to 'em.....sigh.....so dam good

  • a fuckin genius!!

  • Damn thats some good shit right there,i miss songs like this.

  • Okay I have heard tantric, but are there ANY bands out there now, or in the past, that sounded anything close to this? Style and vocals. I love how he just pushes it sometimes and rips such a hard vocal lick

  • if they had come out 5 or 7 years earlier, they would be bigger then Nirvana.. they arrived just as the grunge Era was dying..

  • fuck yeah I learned the intro to this video and I can play the whole song except the solo hahah!

  • @itsallgood239 Yeah this solo is F*kin insane for an acoustic!

  • Who ever dont like this is fucking an idiot

  • If you don't mind me asking a stupid question maybe, are Travis and Todd getting this group back together?? I've heard so many different things, would love to know for sure, cause they need too!!

  • Heaviest acoustic shit EVER!!!!!

  • what is the name of the lil guitar intro?

  • @itsallgood239 - The intro is called "Orch of the Medium" and was recorded Live solo acoustic Sept 24, 2003 in Flint, MI and is available on the official "Travis Meeks Live Bootleg" CD.

  • They guys rocked harder with acoustic guitars than most bands could with electrics. Great song.

  • @apeach710 They opened for Metallica on a world tour with the only electric in the whole damn band being the bass!

  • damn im learning this song and the solo is gonna be tough for me

  • 90s bands perform their music great live. That's one things most bands these days can't do.

  • 90's rock is ALL i belive in!!

  • i'm from Charlestown IN.I remember seeing them around the projects when i was a teen.Lots of people here know them , literally.A lot of people here dont like travis.A lot of people here are also jealous dickheads too. They did some pretty mean shit to him when he played here. You can watch it on youtube.Just a buncha retarded drunks bein pricks. They shoulda been thrown out.

  • F*cking awesome song that rocks the sh*t out of me well over a decade now :)

We dont need an excuse...and who needs distortion for rock'n'roll?

    Thanks Travis, keep (it) alive!

  • bitchin

  • nice band with acoustic guitars!

  • amazing song by an amazing band

  • DAMN!!! that was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!

  • not only yes, but hell yes

  • Who would ever dare to compare this masterpiece of music to some Disney Machinery Jonas crap???? GFY!

  • @TotamSpemRelinquite i saw those videos. my computer crashed, thank god.lol. black label against jonas, sorry joe, zakk wins.

  • Jonas Brothers vs Days of The New, who would win? xD I go for Days of The New. Jonas Brothers sucks.

  • Lol jonas bros suck

  • is this a dvd please let me know.. tnx

  • @allofusrevenge

Nope this is not available on DVD. Sorry

  • what you can do is buy it pre-owned on vhs from amazon, then get it transfered to dvd ;)

  • what makes this so special compared to everything else was that back in the 90's days of the new was basically the one of a kind... pure genius, pure acoustics. I love this shit!

  • There is this stuff that will take away the pain, numbing up all the feelings, the very ones that made you who you are. It will allow you to open up and let everyone in, all with relative ease. But watch out, cause its a feeling you will quickly become attached to and you'll wake up one day five years later wondering what the fuck happened.

  • yea bangis..

  • TALGANG BANGIS!! si Travis Meeks pa....ASTIG!!

  • Geez we need this music back, I can't stand the cheesy hip hop crap on the radio. Love this song!

  • I agree!

  • you nailed it raido sucks anymore

  • X 1,000,000!!!!!!!

  • @ksbonneau It's not even hip hop. It's all the pop and shit that is ruining the music industry.

  • Great song!

  • It's a shame drugs got a hold of Meeks, he is crazy talented.

  • I would have loved to see Travis and Layne Staley do something together....I bet it would have been fuckin cool as hell..

    RIP LAYNE!

  • Travis has actually played privately several times with Jerry Cantrell and Mike Starr of AIC - Mike contacted me a few years back interested in playing bass for DOTN!

  • Yea I remember seeing DOTN opening for Jerry on tour...and Starr IMO is better than Inez...wish him luck that is for sure..he was playing a gig with Facelift the AIC tribute band a few weeks ago..sad to see him doing tributes instead of being in the band..

Who knows maybe starr will come back

  • @rotaryrebel why would he contact you about playing bass in DOTN?

  • @kyle8769 ummm cause I'm one of the people that can actually put people directly in touch with Travis Meeks.

  • @rotaryrebel whats ur name

  • @JamesScales --- My name is Travis Miller - I too grew up in Charlestown, IN with Travis and the rest of the guys - fact is anybody in C-town that "hates" him either A. don't really know him or B. are just flat jealous

  • travis should recognize as a great artist and also be proud to have someone as talented as him. I live far away from Indiana and would give up what I have no reason to watch him play and talk with him. travis is god.

  • true so you cant see some one doing a solo, didnt know that

  • great vid

  • wot fukn solo ?

    are you fukn blind

  • well that would make him deaf. your grammar is obnoxious. and the solo starts at about 336 and ends at 406. jackass

  • Travis Meeks was not only gorgeous, but his voice matched as well. It's too bad that drugs tore apart this man that could of had it all. Bands like this, Alice in Chains, Silverchair, etc all gave great music, and the new bands now like Nickelback & Linkin Park just suck! Bring back the 90s alternative!

  • nickleback sucks. sorry.

  • well said

  • dude is an insult to put the name of shit band like "nickelback" with bands like Alice in Chains, Days of the New etc

  • You have no idea how often I preach "Bring back 90's rock." This country would be a better place. The local rock radio station here does a segmant called "It smells like the 90's" I listen to that segmant religiously

  • yea im only 21 and I remember everything about this era in music..oh god how shitty it is now...someone needs to bring it back..but the bands from the 90s are all trying to come back..and that fuckin sucks cause alot of the singers are dead (such as layne staley and shannon hoon)...they need to let the 90s music be with the singers...it was a great time but music without the main people in it..isnt the same..

    no layne=no chains!

  • I'm 21 as well and pretty much in the same boat as you guys. Atleast mediocre 90s alt rock bands had an original sound.

  • those are the two singers i was thinkin of.

  • Hell, I'm 16 and I remember the good ol' days of grunge! :D

  • I gotta agree and disagree, it's not the same without layne.

But it's because he and Cantrell harmonized so well.

And on Layne only ones yes you're completely right.

  • My opinion simply put:

Grunge and 90's rock WAS incredible, my fav by far.

All great artists did die, my two favourite, Kurt & Layne.

Alice were amazing with Layne, now they lack the vocal power, though the riffs still have a hint of amazingness.

By the way, I'm 17, but I try to immerse myself to only grunge, its extremely appealing and musical perfection to my ears. I wish, and I know it seems unlikely, but I really wish for a similar grunge/hippy movement to occur in my time as a youth:)

  • @L33CH3RS id join ya haha

  • You nailed it my friend!

  • @L33CH3RS I'm 17 as well, I wish the same thing all the time..

  • @L33CH3RS

You should never immerse yourself in only one style of music, especially with a genre as broad as "Rock." There are other forms of music that are also good.

  • @L33CH3RS FUCK yes I agree man, in the up coming years theres a new band called f

Feller from my local town. They live by the GRUNGE way and are truly the new generation of grunge music.

  • @ocballer17 Our's is the 90's nooner. A full hour of 90's rock

  • @ocballer17 Our Radio station has The 90's Nooner @ 12 on weekdays...

  • @ocballer17 I totally hear you, I'm exactly the same way.

The radio station here does a segment called "Seattle at Seven" on the weekdays. If I'm not by a radio when it comes on, I come running and listen intently.

I get excited like a kid at Christmas.

  • yeah travis goooooooooood ,oh yeah!!!!

  • I'm seein' them on May 15th!!!

  • hands down the acoustic guitar solo on this song is the best i have ever heard in my life it just rocks and kick serious ass !

  • These guys are a prime example of how the industry and self loathing causes great talent to tweek and peak real early and burn out in the atmosphere before their time is really over. It is a shame that great talent is overshadowed by drug abuse.

  • Bill Hicks said it best. Without out drugs his record collection would have really sucked.

  • this one goes to my favs ... thats 4 shure

travis is an influence good vibes...

  • wot sick fukin solo

  • wena wena

  • the singer was on intervention for crystal meth.. but hes been sober sens '05

  • i want tree colors man ill pay 50$ for it

  • who wrote that guitar solo? Travis or Todd?

  • Travis Meeks wrote it : )

  • Sure wish I was at this show. Man...

Travis, you're so sick dude. Where is Tree Colors?
