  • i had the same feelings! i remember watching the early seasons after school every day, when ER was the NEW show! one day i just stopped watching, they didnt air them on TV anymore and i completly missed the last 2 seasons, so i started watching them a few days ago! i think emergency was one of the best shows ever! better than lost and anything we have today! the cast changed a lot and i cried for everyone who left (greg, carter, mark, abby etc) but thats what made this show realistic & GREAT!

  • "Uhhh, because he's a doctor" Loved it!! I miss this show - I became a paramedic because this show inspired me so much!

  • Im so glad that they made Morris a great doctor :D Greene will always be the best but Morris defo comes close :)

  • gotta love Jerry at the end...classic Jerry is back

  • This is the best medical show ever

  • Is this show perverted like Grey's Anatomy? GA was FOREVER talking about sex--the entire hospital slept with each other and THAT got annoying!

  • I love Jerry!!! "Uhhhhh Because He's a Doctor."

  • I loved this! Having another Dr Greene is just perfection. All the emotions that surfaced at the different moments... crazy! This show is legendary.

  • This makes me sad :( in a good way... but still sad :(

  • The very beginning, she was all "Dr. Morris" and I DISTINCTLY hear "Dr. Green"... and then it's Morris. Kinda weird.

  • It's cool to watch Dr. Carter show a new medical student around when, in the first episode, he was the new medical student being shown around. The show really did come full circle.

  • SOUND RAIL TRAIN STATION STEPHEN WINSOR

  • Frank always makes me tear up!!

  • "emm...because he is a doctor?.." haha like the way Jerry said it

  • The look that Jerry has at the end is so funny. I love Jerry!

  • ok dont get me wrong ER is and will continue to be one of the best shows that ever existed and i will always be a dedicated fan but to me after 15 seasons and so many people coming and going the show kind of lost a little bit of its originality like when rachael came back no one knew who she was because everyone from when mark was around was gone except for a few people does anybody else feel the same way??

  • @ashnashbffs4eva yes!! It was strange that no one, instead chuny, carter,... the original cast, knew who was rachel. For me ER was the first seasons, then noticed that something was missing... something special that was in the early seasons. This last season was a gift for fans of the series from the beginning =)

  • @hatharossdc i know i kind of felt bad i mean mark was one of the best doctors that hospital had and no body knew who he was and i loved the last season it was great so see all the original cast members come back again they were the ones who made the show what it was i loved the earlier seasons too i kind of lost interest at the end of season 13 when kerry left, to me something was just missing after that but the final season definately had me glued to my tv wanting to see what happens next

  • @hatharossdc Yeah, I kind of agreed on that subject. To me, there we're a lot of people in ER, main or recurring and some of that like the original feeling to it. But I am and still a ER fan. You know, I think some of the complex relationships on some characters, including Doug & Carol and Luka & Abby, as well as the intensity of some of the episodes really made the show and it deserves it's achievements as many as it has.

  • @hatharossdc I disagree!! I knew and so did everyone else I watched ER with knew who Rachel was. She looked the same, just a bit different.

  • @ashnashbffs4eva No it hadn't lost its originallity because i believe that ER remained ER ok maybe the faces changed and the atmosphere but i found this a realistic approach because it shows how times are changing how people move on . Very realistic .

  • @ashnashbffs4eva Personally the fact that there was no main character made the show better.

  • @ashnashbffs4eva Mark Greene was dead for years. And no on had seen her in a long time. It's natural for them not to recognize her. She was a girl and now she's an adult.

  • @ashnashbffs4eva Yeah the early seasons were the best! The characters that showed up around season 5 (Abby, Luka, Malucci, Lucy) fit in pretty well because the original characters were still there. But once Carter left, it was almost entirely a non-original cast and was depressingly uninteresting to me. Of course, I stopped watching in the 10th season because Carter became depressing as well, especially compared to the clumsy cutie he was in the beginning. :)

  • @impasse0124 The early seasons were my favorite too I liked the closeness of the cast the show centered around 5-6 people and it told their story once they started adding more and more people to the cast it kind of lost that aspect, I hate to say it but I lost interest in it too towards the end I missed the second half of season 13 and all of season 14, I did watch the last season just because it was the last and thats when they brought everybody back :)

  • What was the name of the miracle drug Carter referred to earlier in this clip?

  • @tampaguy32 i believe he was referring to haldol its used to help calm down people with psychiatric problems

  • @tampaguy32 Haldol ... in one episode of the first season a patient is singing 'it's my party and I'll cry if I want to' and Lydia has her arm around her and is singing along. Dr. Mark Greene comes in and starts singing along as well and ends the song with 'Giver her 5 Haldol' in keeping with the melody. cute!

  • How do u become a medical student at that level by age 22?

  • I miss this show so badly. I think they were right ended it when they did though. My family and I would watch this every Thursday evening. Now Thursday evenings are missing something.

  • That funny. Why is dr Carter working on patient? Because he's a doctor

  • I Remenber the pilot Episode,

    I was 10 but i do remember ...

    Best Show Ever ...

  • This series has been all my life, literally, and I love it

  • i love how they put the returning cast in the opening credits, and not just as special guest stars.

  • Nice touch how Noah gets an Anthony Edwards kind of intro in the theme.

I still have got to check out seasons 14 & 15, it's great to see these clips and also Chaz. Rachel looks all mature. And Frank is still annoying.

    What happened to Jerry's beard?

  • "because hes a doctor" haha i love jerry!! he always knows what to say

  • Tv shows are always doing it, like eastenders and Vikki's age. The timing is off maybe because the writer has skipped a year or something in the actual story. I'm on season 9. I useto watch it most of the time when i was home from school and yes it did useto be shown in the day time and not at around 9pm lol, when things where allot more easy going when it came to what was watched lol.

  • "Because he's a doctor?"

    LOL!

  • "because he's a doctor" 4 words that everyone loves. That look on her face was so funny though.

  • Mark Greene was the soul and heart of ER. I think with him gone, the show no longer was good as it was. And come people, give the writers a break - I know that they got Rachel Greene's age wrong, but it was for a good reason (to fit into a storyline and continue the ER legacy).

  • The mention of Dr. Mark Green's name gave me shivers.

  • IRL those people would NOT be able to enter an OR, without scrubbing in and donning PPE.

  • so tired of hallee uh no more hallee eww-hasidic?

  • I think my most favorite part of this WHOLE clip is at 3:28, where Frank remembers who Rachel is, and her dad. You can tell he's gonna tear up...

  • @slipstick99 that is my favorite moment also. Just the mention of Mark's name is enough to earn an immediate, emotional response.

  • i watched er when i was growing up

  • is that pratts, brother?

  • step brother

  • I miss Lydia soo much! she was one of my favorite nurses....

  • Uh cause he's a doctor? Lol good answer Jerry

  • rechel....il continuo....

  • Morris will NEVER be as good as Greene, but it was just to set up that he i snow "setting the tone" for the ER, as Greene did at the very beginning.

The finale was good.. IT gave fans a sense of closure and you felt ok, knowing that in the end, it was another day in the ER.

Truly, an amazing show! I'm watching from the very beginning now. Season 3!

  • Jerry has a beard! lol, crazy! I never noticed it until now, in this episode, was it there before?

  • miss it!!

  • i miss not watching er thursday nights i now watch the reruns on tnt

  • love the start i laughed but no way will Morris EVER be as good as Greene...

  • Give Archie some credit. He's over sixty years old. Archie isn't even his real name! Donald Malarkey is! He had to change it after he served with Easy Company during World war 2!

Kudos if you get the reference. If not, go watch Band of Brothers and tell me who you recognize from ER.

  • I dreamed of the return of rachel as a doctor in the final episode of ER, truly.... my dream come true.... ahhhh

  • John Stamos is on ER? I did not know that.

  • how didn't you know that!!!!he's been on there since like season 11 or 12???

  • Love Jerry's "Uh, because he's a Doctor?"

  • i totally was thinking that lol

  • ok ok fair enuf LOL i love pratt tho hes the man

  • ER was just an excellent series. the early episodes were just amazing, i really feel like carter, doug, carol, mark, benton, elizabeth, jeenie, and carrie are all real people!!! i miss the old episodes

  • yeah, okey =)

  • oh ur kiddin right?:) it took u that long?

  • the time that passes on the show is different than the time that passes in real time. remember it's just a show...but it is a legacy at that. er was amazing.

  • When mark died in early 2002 rachel was 16? that would make her 22 in early 2008. Ella was about 1-1,5 when he past that would make her 8 years old in 2009... i think they messed up :O

  • LOL Jerry at the end: "uh because he's a doctor" the look on his face haha

  • yeah love big jerry hes the man remember that episode where pratt had to explain to weaver about pratt being accussed of giving someone the TUBE

  • haha no! which episode was that?

  • TUBE = Totally Unecessary Breast Exam as explained by PRatt and that episode was titled "Just A Touch"

  • Uh because he's a doctor?

  • OMG, they used the ORIGINAL song!!! I so missed that song.

  • Rachel was 5 in the first season, which would make her 20 in season 15, not 22!!

  • tv magic!

the actress, Hallee Hirsh, is actually 22 in real life.

  • that's not true!!

    she's 21!!

  • They aged her sometime between season 6 and 8 I think , that's when they changed the actress

  • The writers have done it badly with this topic. It´s impossible that Ella was 9. And they have given the same age to Rachel that to the actress.

  • When was she born? 2001/2002? She'd have been 7 or 8 then?

  • @hatharossdc When they got Hallee Hirsch to play Rachel they aged the character up two years. So I think she went from 12 to 14 and I think it would make her 22

  • @hatharossdc What you guys are forgeting is that this is tv. they age the kids. Carel and Dougs girls would not be in school ether.

  • @hatharossdc Oh hush, they scuffed a secondary character history slightly to make a very moving plot line. Stop being such a stickler.

  • @choppers89 in the first season or two, John Carter mentions a sister a couple of times and then in later seasons she is never seen or mentioned again. He only talks of a brother who died young.

  • 6:40...when Carter is teaching Rachel how to do an IV...Benton did the exact same thing with Carter in the pilot episode.

  • yeah! I remember when Carter didn´t know how put an IV, curiously he put to Frank his first IV

  • Yeah who knew that Frank would be back after the pilot, but I'm so glad he did come back. His fights with Jerry were hilarious.

  • @hatharossdc yeah, i wonder why they never talked about that connection.

Also- I always thought it was funny that the trannie that Benton caused to jump off the roof was Reese's other dad.

  • i now right

  • yeah! and when carter tells rachel about "the camrodery around here, kind of what makes this place work everybody wants to help each other out" - benton says like the same thing to carter in the pilot

  • geesh, i screamed when the old credits came up! they did it so well. i wish we could've seen rachel being interviewed by banfield and some kind of wink to dr. greene trying to save banfield's son. but the finale was well done regardless!
