Killing?... no... remember they have not only the shell but their exoskeleton to protect themselves. By the way, this is not so huge crab, Its shell is only about 1 inch long.

those are some beautiful creatures i only have 2 right now and they are both babys, they are asian hermet crabs and they are awsome, any tips on what to feed them other then pellets?

HI

Mine are Coenobita clypeatus and they are omnivorous.  I give them pellets but also some "salad" vegetables, calcium and tiny pieces of meat protein. Never citric food.

By the way, they really love "Crab Island Fruit & Flower Crab Food" from T-Rex.

are you sure all of them are coenobita clypeatus i think the 1 at 2:00 is a coenobita brevimas (i could be mustaking these 2 species are very look a likes)
