  • They should sell this video to iveco , its very handy for their promotion

  • dumbass niggers...worst race on planet

  • Where is the government? = It does not exist!

  • And President Kabila of the DRC can actually have the guts to travel to the AU or the UN to represent the Congo! This is atrocious, he needs to travel this road on a presidential inspection.

  • Hilarious ...

  • You have to admire the spirit of the Congolese people, they just get on with it despite hardships like this. Puts it into perspective when people in the devloped world moan about their train being delayed by 10 minutes!

We run overland adventure trips in West Africa and Central Africa, in our overland expedition truck Aminah. Have a look at our website and come on an off road adventure!

  • very nice.

  • I think the passengers are for food, they're cannibals in the congo.

  • @A1R5N1P3R Thanks for that balanced and mature commentary.

  • @leapoffaith20 Google "cannabalism in congo" then talk to me.

  • @A1R5N1P3R LOL true. Mufasa taught us all about the circle of life

  • I can't believe what they do with these trucks. It's amazing how they can withstand these travels.

  • why dont they use the older means of transportation... horses etc, 650 kilometres would have taken them less than a month i think ;-)

  • @draheer or even cyclists with racks and small trailers, lol...

  • HOW DO YOU WATCH THE REST OF THE PARTS????

  • at 4:40 when domingo asked for 15,000 franks he scratched his head and coughed, that fucker wants more morey for something else.

  • Pandas won't survive without us!

    Save the pandas!

  • i would love to go see Africa! any part of central Africa looks so amazing.

  • @ibrahim795 Don't go unless you are black.

  • @ibrahim795 - Africa is an amazing place to visit. i will encourage you to go and discover the culture, and foods. it is really a good idea.

  • @ibrahim795 I would recommend other parts of africa but not central africa. that part is still too dangerous with coups, gangs, and wars

  • lol looks like fun

  • Domingo is one of a kind, his job must require a lot of skill and patience and focus.

  • This is all because of the fucking corrupt government. All it takes is a sold road to the town.

  • it's not a problem of DRC we have the same problem in Brazillian Amazon...

  • whats that name of the sound at 15:00?

  • 700,00km? lol. I can imagine what the European salesman told them, "These are highway miles. "

  • wrong choice of vehicle! horse/mule/bike/on foot that's all the choice i see. (or enduro bike for the thrill of it)

I can see no excuse for those roads.. they are just left to degrade. Go and gather some rocks and fill the holes, raise the bed with rocks, flatten it out. It's for your OWN benefit! (after a good foundation is done, an asphalt pavement is the next easy thing to do, after that you can skyrocket with 50km/h)

  • they should travels on horses....to pass

    600 km in a month......

  • Totally CRAZY!! 650 km in a month!!

  • hardcore off roading

  • hardcore off roading

  • i like to study different types of people and its funny to see that these people are the same as the blacks in america.. genetics :D

  • Its sad to see such a hard life, but at the same time Africans are hard working people. When I see Africans in Europe (going to discos, having chains in their necks, rings, tattos, just walking around to find girls for sex, not going to school), I mean the behave as their countries are also so developed as Europe!, but its sad that they don't have any sense for their brothers/sisters in Africa, I mean they should study hard, don't waste time and go back to Africa, build their land.

  • DRC is an extremely complex & complicated place. Political corruption runs rampant & unchecked, & when soldiers don't get paid, their loyalties are bought by the highest bidder. It's easy to throw money at a place like Congo, but it doesn't solve the problem. & it's more than just a muddy road to get stuck on for weeks without toilet paper. Rebels attack trucks & buses to steal, kill, & rape innocent people. Imagine being raped & beaten, then they cut your lips and ears off to make an example.

  • WHERE'S HOLLYWOOD? With a great producer, director, etc., and seasoned actors like Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Blood Diamon), Chiwetel Ejiofor (City of Men, Serenity), Don Cheadle (Hotel Rawanda, Crash), David Oyelowo (The Last King of Scotland), locals, and a great dramatic script that delves into the lives and hardships of the men and passengers on this trip, as well as some of the country's issues (war, corruption, rape) could be gold, and a great way to bring world attention to issues in DRC.

  • @BigMTBrain - (p2) - Though it would be a minuscule compared to total needs, some of the worldwide profit could go toward a particular road project, hospital, etc. For security and safety of the crew, filming could be done anywhere in the world, even Hollywood, not necessarily the DRC. The story and shedding light on the issues of the DRC would be the point.

  • theres no danger at all, its just a muddy road!!

  • Even Buddha couldn't have said it better than that young man: Life here is to suffer!

If we, here in the West, had to pay $20 or more for a trip, sitting outside the car/truck/taxi, and during some stretch of our taxi ride, we had to walk for 7 kilometers, we too would echo the same thing!

  • Domingo would have been a legendary driver on the Eastern Front.

  • can someone explain to me why driving a truck on a dirt road is dangerous? I am no driver but I don't see the danger in those roads.

  • @vediocamera Any offroader will tell you that you could easily overturn in mud holes. These guys are hardcore, doing this with such a high center of gravity.

  • @vediocamera its dangerous because they could get trapped with no food or toilet paper

  • hahahaa ..lol... there's a monkey tag along with them at back of the truck. he got a free ride, i hope. lol.

  • how the hell do Al Jazeera shoot this video in many different angles especially when the camera is at the back of the car where the truck is leaving, does the cameraman run and catch up after that?

  • @luftwaffe789456123 Yes smarty lol I saw they went all down in a drain. Good cameramen I must say

  • @wspol624 you are so right brother!

  • wow this seems almost romantic in a adventure, man vs. terrain kind of way

  • These are strong men against all that.

  • WOW!!!

  • black jews?

  • @heratus007 lol how do you get black jews?

  • Comment removed

  • @BigMTBrain uhhh what are you talking about?*shifty eyes*... do we see the same video?!

  • @LARPSC - As you noticed, I removed that comment because I had sent you the wrong wrong video. I got distracted before I could send you the correct video. Thanks for reminding me. Here is the correct video:

    /watch?v=d39-MdCL0IE

    There. Now, educate yourself.

  • @BigMTBrain btw I didn't go follow the link you gave me... I was talking about this video "risking it all-DRC"... And FYI I have heard of so called "Black Jews" before, and personally I don't buy it nor do I really care.

  • @LARPSC - Ha ha ha. That's exactly what I imagined. Ignorance is truly bliss. More power to ya!

  • @BigMTBrain are you from a different dimension where right is left and left is right and everything is topsy-turvy... Regardless of what you think about black jews, what in the world does this video have anything to with them?! Why don't you educate me on that o'wise one...

  • @LARPSC - Old news, dude. Look for the comment I made nearly an hour before your last one.

  • @BigMTBrain In other words your a fuckin troll

  • @LARPSC - In other words, you didn't see my apology. But that's ok. Go on being an ass.

  • @BigMTBrain dont apologize fool... I would still like to know... How do get a conversation started about "black jews" after viewing a video about Truck drivers in the Congo?!

  • @LARPSC - Wow! You continue to make a bigger ass of yourself with each post. Suggestion: Click "see all" in the comment section. Scan the pretty yellow ones, those would be yours, little boy. Look for the one that begins with "Wow, do you have no sense of context?" Then read the comment just below that one. It will start out with "@LARPSC - Ahhh" and continues with "@heratus007". There I explain how this began. Even so, I know your preference is to be an ass, so, by all means, carry on... ASS :D

  • @BigMTBrain LMAO, Are the pretty yellow ones really mine?! oh boy oh boy! I C it now. I only got the part bout ignorance is bliss in my inbox. Regardless Thank U for turning a simple misunderstanding in2 an off topic, obnoxious, 'better than thou' quarrel. U truly R MAGNIFICANT. I've seen a lot of usernames but none so fitting as URs ! btw dont fake humility. U started the conversation and I shall end it. Do not reply 2 me, do not mention me. U R now officially blocked.Goodbye N good riddance!

  • @LARPSC - You blocked me! Oh, that hurts me so, so badly. :D

  • @LARPSC - (part 2) - To continue your education Black Jews, you can consider watching these videos as well:

    /watch?v=cFhWkJQ_L5I

    /watch?v=QeOfLbtg67I

    /watch?v=3aTGcv6eFyM

There are many more videos. Search YouTube for "african jews".

Further, search Wikipedia for "black jews".

In this day and age of the Internet, there is no sense in posting silly questions without first finding the answers yourself.

  • @LARPSC Wow, do you have no sense of context?... I don't want to watch a video about African Jews. If i did I would have searched about African Jews. This video ( a video about truckers in the Congo) has nothing to do with Jews... How do you start talking about black Jews from this particular video... Stay on topic much?!

  • I would donate money to have that road paived

  • Does the Congo has an Army or any military branch to help this people out? Where is their government?

  • @jatigre1

the army is in the moment a underpaid corrupt shithole who rapes and loots ther own villiges and can't even fight not talking about helping out its people, the goverment is in the capital but even with the best goverment in the world for such a country to improve significantly it would take not years but decades

  • Can it get any worse than this?

  • @jatigre1: yep: you could have a woman passenger on board who will nag about toilet-stops every hour. For a month.

  • The strength it takes to accomplish this is out of this world. We have it so easy in developed countries.

  • @im1greatman

fot that that we have it "easy" generations of our fathers had it hard to bring us to such a level of development so that we can have it easy, so if ther is a god then god bless them

  • If it wasn't for the rain families could live along the road fixing it and would get provisions from the trucker,s ,that road needs to be lifted off the fields to dry comfortably

  • @nyege2 not history, both white and black, though mostly white, oppressors because mankind is a savage, foolish species. At least now we can try to learn and educate from our countless mistakes.

  • Thanks for the upload. Very interesting.

  • One way or the another, the Job does get done...

Now it's time for a Cold Budweiser and Great Food...

May God Be With You and Yours

    Be-Careful...Be-Safe

  • This is why cell phones are so expensive.

  • that road is hell

  • you could walk this in a month.

  • what a mission 1month to go 500 miles

  • (part 3) - To help build infrastructure and mining, in 2007, the World Bank granted the DRC ~$1.3 billion in assistance funds over the next three years. If this video is recent, one might naturally ask where has the money gone?

  • @BigMTBrain Simple corrupt government and if you actually look into it the country it self is still being stripped of its wealth by other nations including america funding ugandan /Rwandan army to reside in congo to rape and steal resources, But the damn corrupt government dayum

  • @sn00piedog - Agreed, but it's apparent that you didn't consider that I began my writing with "(part 3)". If you had read my other comments, you will see that I've already stated that. Further, the World Bank and the IMF are notorious for building up industries in developing countries just to the point where the country can't repay all of their debt, and then allowing foreign conglomerates and corrupt politicians to swoop in like hawks and exploit the country and their people. Almost a given.

  • @BigMTBrain Yeah I didn't see the other stuff you posted.

  • @BigMTBrain drc is a big place 1.3 bill is nothing

  • @zasabiibasaz - You are correct. Thanks! Perhaps it's just a matter of priorities. It would seem, though, that funds would be earmarked specifically for major infrastructure projects. Perhaps there are other, more critical roads, hospitals, schools, etc., and more emphasis on priming various mining efforts there to create a continue source of revenue.

  • @BigMTBrain that dirt road in the video would cost millions of dollars to build and there is probably only 2,000 cars that drive on it monthly. The cost benefit analysis indicates that the road would not be an efficient use of the allocated road funds.

  • @zasabiibasaz so you think a cost benefit analysis was done? And don't underestimate the power of transportation and communication... Connectivity is the backbone of any economy and without the proper infrastructure the economy is going to be paralyzed.

  • @BigMTBrain not the DRC

  • @brno22504 - Ha ha ha. Good one!

  • @BigMTBrain This might interest you. It's a bit long but I think you'll find it informative.

    horizonsunlimited (dotcom) /hubb/ride-tales/democratic-republic-congo-lubumbashi-kinshasa-53285

  • @leapoffaith20 - WOW! I don't know if you saw my post about this being great fodder for Hollywood which could, in several ways, benefit the DRC, but this, to me, shows clearly that this is high drama and saga worthy of blockbuster treatment. As I mentioned in my first post on the Hollywood angle, for security reasons, it could all be filmed on Hollywood lots with African leads. Put a big production name behind it and audiences would give it a chance to their surprise and delight. Great! Thanks!

  • @leapoffaith20 - (part 2) - On second thought, after viewing many of the photos, it would be a great shame NOT to film on site in the DRC. Many of these photos reveal that the DRC is an amazingly beautiful country with spectacular vistas and people with amazing heart. Ha ha. What was I thinking... this video itself was shot there. I think it's easy to be overly concerned about dangers and apply them to all contexts without understanding that most violence is only engaged in specific contexts.

  • @leapoffaith20 - (part 3) - Ha ha ha. I've been engrossed in this journey for the past hour. What a road trip, what a story. Thanks for recommending it, but... damn you!!!... I've got work to do. XD

  • Damn ... I had to go through this when going to school in Kamituga / DRC .

It used to take us 5 days to cover 400 kms ... Memories man .

Still love my country to death

  • this driver is worth his price

  • Mama Africa U R full of adventure!!!

  • Absolutely criminal how the African people must fuss and toil to survive. The Congolese in particular, with all of that country's wealth in natural resources.

Shame on the corrupt governments of the world who exploit DRC's wealth! Shame!

  • Amazing driving. very very tough life!

  • This is an intense living.

  • (part 2) - From Wikipedia: The untapped deposits of raw minerals in the DRC are estimated to be worth in excess of US$ 24 trillion--equivalent to the gross domestic product of the U.S. and Europe combined.

  • On paved roads, a 650 km (404 mi) trip driven at a fairly poky 80 kph (50 mph) (11 hours non-stop) would take only a day and a half including several 30 minute breaks and a full night's sleep. Commerce cannot function well at the planned 650 km in 4 days (162 km/day), and it cannot function at all at the eventual 650 km / 30 days (21.5 km/day). War, government corruption, non-compulsory primary education, and poor infrastructure are holding this nation with $trillions in natural resources back.

  • awesome driver..

  • this is nothing compared to the lowari road in northern pakistan that links peshawar to chitral (afghanistan). the drivers over there are real men.

  • @aburashdan lol what an odd form of patriotism...

  • @aburashdan lol what an odd form of patriotism... I picture Pakistan and Afghanistan as having a dry mountainous landscape. Even though it roads suck and it seems like a risky journey these people are surrounded by green. Is the lowari road your talking about anything like that?

  • @LARPSC lol your making me laugh,Lowari road is a mountainous area and a steppe which has no blockade,so theres a moment you forgot to break when turning your car,you go straight to your death by falling.

  • Dang, you could walk that distance in less than a month.

  • Thanks for the great piece

  • incredible!

  • thats a hell of a way to make a living
