  • Beautiful and splendid! Seeing this truck makes me appreciate my little white freightliner coe HO truck even more! thanks =)

  • Thats some pretty impressive shifting,Your daddy is DAMN GOOD with those 4x4 boxes. { i am assuming thats what in it for a tranny?}

  • @shovel79jon 5x4 close enough haha

  • Great vid, proper truck.

  • real old power truck

  • @hotrodx 199 mr smart ass lets see you drive a freightliner

  • @3790300697 I can drive my peterbilt i'm rebuilding this winter.

  • nice down shift of gears !

  • ive actually driven modern freightliners.

  • that thing comes around that corner like a BOSS

  • that thing is sexy man

  • my dad had a 68 Diamond Reo with a 250 cummins twin stacks with a 5 and 2 speed axle. When it was tuned right it sounded good with that great 250 crack .

  • very nice sounding 250........you dad sure can shift that 2- stick......

  • Now THATS what a truck should sound like. not the oversanitised plastic crap we get in Europe today

  • is it jake brake or engine brake? my frieghtliner fld 120 says engine brakes

  • @gernadeXinXaXcan jake brakes are engine brakes to me, but this has a jake brake.

  • @gernadeXinXaXcan an engine brake and jake brake ar tha same but an exhaust brake is different

  • @shadetreemechanic77 An engine brake is anything that uses the engine to slow down. Jakes and Exhaust brakes are different, but both are engine brakes. Really, you could have neither jake nor exhaust brake, but using your engine to slow down is still engine braking.

  • Wow what for a engine sound.

  • that would rattle ur brain all day

  • nice

  • that sound so nice

  • I love the view of it rounding the corner ^^

  • Great video. Sounds like the truck from Duel!

  • Why does the begining of this video look like a Ford commercial!

  • cab over

  • One trucker's Volvo can't do that.

  • Only with youtube can you amazingly go back in time virtuallly!

  • man you love that truck, reminds me of my dads 72 gmc with a detroit and two trannys ,both dad and truck are long gone now ,its nice your saving the moment

  • Awesome

  • gotta love a old truck roalin smoke

  • One Greenpeace member dislikes this great video.

  • This one doesn't hurt my ears like the detroit.

  • People dont understand , its not the horsepower that matters its reliability ! Aslong as it gets you from point A to point B thats what matters ! I own my own trucking business I own both cummins & detroits both are good engines ! My white has a 8v92 detroit in it , I haul on it everyday 1

  • Thats a very great shot, love to hear such an old truck working.

  • very "Duel-like" lookin and soundin. Nice !

  • good driver

  • 1st time I saw a cabover pulling logs...different, but cool all the same. Also, nothing,

    but nothing tops two stickers...NOTHING!!!!!!

  • What a work horse.. love it ..hey ya on the wrong side of the road lol

  • It's good to see these old trucks still in action, hard working!!

  • nice truck. i've always wanted a white freightliner like that.

  • NICE :)

  • @Hotrodx199 Dude, you need to use the "delete comment" option a lot more.

  • @Xx69roadrunnerxX lol i noticed

  • @coyner254 Oh man your hilarious!! All you can do is copy what I say!!! I had to respond, at this point its just commical.

SO what did you prove me wrong about?? Seriously tell me if you can. Based off you first comment "Take that pussy Cummins out and get a CAT" what did you prove me wrong on? If you still think this is a "pussy" Cummins then yout a mother fucken idiot. The NHC-250 Cummins in there is just fine for the application.

Seriously what are you so right about?

  • jeeezzzz your old man and that truck sure hall some ass

  • SWEET!!!!!!

  • love it..always wondered how a non turbo'd cummins sounded like!!!

  • you made my day! :D

  • To think about it out of all these years they made them, i'd take a 2 stroke jimmy over a cat anyday, but that's just me. They are very reliable, and they get decent fuel economy. Only problem is that they live half as long as a cummins, so rebuild is like 400k

  • @Hotrodx199 I dont know about tha last bit man. Ive talked to a bunch on B.C. loggers and they say their 2-stroke Detroit Diesel's usually last twice as long as their Cummins and CAT diesels, in extreme work environments (usually in Hayes or Pacific trucks). But their are a ton of variables and how the engines are treated and maintained is the biggest factory on longevity I would say.

  • @Hotrodx199

Can a detroit not do more than 400,000 miles ?.

  • @johnsenkenn A 2 stroke jimmy, 400k is about it's time for a rebuild i'd say.

  • @Hotrodx199

What I can see, there were a lot of them, so there must be a reason to, I don't know if they were cheap.

  • @johnsenkenn They are starting to get really expensive to rebuild now like no big deal. Even with so many made, the government is probably trying to restrict people making parts for 2 strokes because they're not "green enough" to run anymore.

  • wow your dad can really bang gears! do you know what gear he was in when he crested the hill?

  • @YB49887 I honestly dont know, but i do know he shifted two sticks in one motion.

  • the old freightshaker did a great job! awesome to see that old truck on the road working!!!

  • Hotrodx199...your dad has one of the baddest freightliner cabover there is and will always will be one of my favorite's no matter what some of these idiot's say

  • holy crap she pulls good for an old thing awsome truck bud hammer down and its acctually put the hammer down and not put the fuel pedal down do actavate de computer to go vroom vroom lol

  • Excellent vid Kerby!! Love the sound of that straight-piped NHC-250 Cummins diesel! The Freightliners looking awesome as always.

I need to take some vids of my '97 12-valve Cummins when it gets back from the shop (mods not repairs)!! To bad I didnt a vid when its was all stock, but whatever...

  • Fantastic video! It's the greatest sound ever! Keep them coming! :-)

  • Pussy little Cummins can't even pull that little hill. Wow. Get a CAT!

  • Well for 250 hp, don't get me wrong here, but that's how they did it back in the day. Everything is factory, why put a cat in when i can buy a small cam 350 that bolts right on the motor mounts.

  • @coyner254 Wow, get a life and stop leaving bad comments! Seems like you have no clue about why you got a shifter on your right side...

  • @mstruckerboy - Actually, it wasn't a bad comment; it was a highly logical one. I don't think that engine has a turbo charger, but even if it did, you know Caterpillars are stronger. I grew up in a semi truck and I grew up in a truck shop that's fixed almost every diesel engine for a semi. Plus, where I live all most truckers do is haul logs, and yes it's a heavy load, but seriously a decent sized CAT could pull that pretty decent.

  • @coyner254 If that was logical, you better think again, dude... And I know that some people are just dying to post comments that doesn't belong here at all. This is no high output C16. It's a NHC-250 non-turbo Cummins. You can't compare it!

  • @coyner254 where have i heard this shit before...... God damn son cat cummins detroit it doesnt make a difference... for a 45 year old truck that has probably never had a rebuild or a overhead for that matter and its pulling better than most new PIECE OF SHIT acert cats Can you say blow by? for god sakes my dads 330hp l10 cummins thats only 10 liters outpulls most new cats and thats a motor with 1 million 500 thousand miles and has never had a overhead or a rebuild. sorry kid you lost

  • @YB49887 - I don't think I lost; A C-15 ACERT Twin Turbo with 625 Horsepower and 2k Ft. Lbs of Torque could pull anything you want it to. Even yo momma's fat ass off her couch.

  • @coyner254 hahaha dude you have never been behind the wheel of a truck so im going to break it down to you nice and slow for your retarded ass. c15 acert eh.. let me tell you everything wrong with that motor.... Terrible fuel milage 4mpg on a good day.... turbos like to go out.. and did i mention the dpfs like to clog up.. oh and you should stop looking up caterpillars website on google fagboy because horsepower isnt everything... id rather have a slow truck that will get me homethana625 pos

  • @YB49887 - I have about 2,000 miles under my belt in a semi truck, and no, I'm not lieing. I've been driving my Dad's since I was 9. I grew up in semis and in a truck repair shop, and they know EVERYTHING about Cat engines. I know that's C-15 ACERTs get pretty damn good fuel mileage for the torque and horsepower they put out.

  • @coyner254 2,000 shit son i make that in a rgular run. you dont knwo what trucking is really. its not about having the strongest truck. nor the horsepower and torque specs. look at the facts truckers dont want all show and no go. when you climb behind the wheel of a n14 m11 l10 cummins or even a pre 2004 cat you feel like you are in a strong reliable truck. You can have all the horsepower and torque in the world and it wont make a shit, when your motor is being choked by a faultyecm or abad dpf

  • @coyner254 kid you really need to get a hobby other than trolling peoples videos starting shit. oh and back to the cat c15 625...... my father contracts to peterbilt and he says that cats are piles of shit due to their emission restrictions...for fucks sake you cant even put straights on a friggen acert! without causing check engine lights flashing like a christmas tree!....the truth is you are a kid who trys to act like he knows what the hell he is talking about on the internet

  • @YB49887 i had a 05' t-800 w/accert motor and it had straights on it, never had any light come on. but did i mention accert motors are junk! 6nz c-15 all the way!

  • @straightpipesrule my apologies the newer model acertswith the dpf will throw a fault code if you hamper with the echaust

  • Comment removed

  • @coyner254 Your a fucking moron!!! Go die you dumb cunt!

You OBVIOUSLY DONT GET THIS IS A 1965 TRUCK!! Guess what CATs were just as underpower back in the day :)

  • @Xx69roadrunnerxX To think of it, a 1674 cat WITH a turbo was only rated for 270 hp if i remember and this was an early 70s motor. This with no turbo being a factory 1965 motor had 250 hp with no turbo. It's not worth the extra 20 hp.

  • @Hotrodx199 I would agree. I still LOVE CAT diesel engines and I still definintely HATE assholes.

  • @Hotrodx199 not to mention a 1674 was the biggest piece of shit ever built

  • @logdog01 - Caterpillar has never manufactured a P.O.S. engine in their history.

  • @coyner254 yeah cat did make several p.o.s 1673 which they only made for 2 years cause it was so bad 1674 wasn't any better 3406c peec which was only worth a shit if you converted it to full manual 3176 and C12 ate cams left and right and the twin turbo c15 that a good bc3 400 would out pull and get a lot better fuel milage

  • @coyner254 yeah cat did make several p.o.s 1673 which they only made for 2 years cause it was so bad 1674 wasn't any better 3406c peec which was only worth a shit if you converted it to full manual 3176 and C12 ate cams left and right and the twin turbo c15 that a good bc3 400 would out pull and get a lot better fuel milage and their so good they don't even make truck motors now

  • @Hotrodx199 - Plus the repairs for a 1674 CAT will definitely make a dent in your wallet. You're better off to drop a mid 400 Horse 1693 CAT if you want to get real old school.

  • @Xx69roadrunnerxX - I'm not a moron. I'm not a dumb c***, and I certainly don't have one. I obviously do get that it IS a 1965 truck. But do you realize that any truck that is that old can have the power that newer trucks have? You drop the right engine in it and there you go, you got power. CATs weren't as underpowered because most of CATs engines have Turbos, and they put out a lot more horsepower. Don't quiz me with this shit, I know I'll win.

  • @coyner254 AHHHAHAHAHHA!!

And how many times do you need to use Google to win hot shot?? Like I said before, stick to making you lame ass video game vids and leave trucks to the big boys :)

  • @Xx69roadrunnerxX - I could honestly probably drive a truck better than you, I can definitely fix a broken one better than you, and I guarantee you that I'll make more money than you'll ever imagine when I start driving truck. Look kid, I'm not a dumbass. I study semis more than school.

  • @coyner254 AHAHAAAHAHAHHAA

Kid? Im way older than you KID. You arrogant fuck. Im done with this ridiculous conversation. If all you do is study "semis" then thats your weakness. Dont bother responding, because I wont.

  • @coyner254 Really? Then tell me how a two-stroke Detroit runs and what kind of supercharger it had on it.

  • Dammit, that sounds awesome. :-)

  • that was a greta video u took man the cmaera angle zoom and evrything came out really well gotta make more like that good stuff man

  • OMG that was such a Duel moment holy shit...

  • It is heaven :)

  • Sounds like heaven (:

  • This turned out real cool how the sunvisor and the smoke seem to roll up from the depths of the roadway at the begining. Darned if there wasn''t one of those little white signs about "Unmuffled engine braking" right about the time Kenny was going for the Jake...

Yeah, when my head hit the pillow last night, it was like when you hold a seashell to your ear and hear the ocean....I was having "backdrop dreams"

  • great sound

  • This hurt my ears when were videoing this,....Poor Scott!!!

  • Awesome!!!
