  • Fuckin' best version of that solo on Youtube!!! Thanks a lot man!

  • There are some weird comments on here. I am Swedish and I understand this 100% and I'm sure most people do. The slight "southern" accent just adds to the flavour of the song :D

This is a very good tutorial - you're not going super-slow like many other tutors do, neither do you split the lesson into several videos (that's really annoying).

  • @simon4tw Thank you for the great comment Simon4tw . . . glad you enjoyed it and could understand it . . . some people just can't follow it . . . owe well

  • Hey Mikey,

Thanks so much for your help! I am a pretty good player but I've never been good at this style at ALL and this video is really going to help me a bunch. Great video! Thanks again :)

  • I just joined a band and have to learn Sweet Home Alabama. This really helps me to get along with the solo part as fast as it´s possible. A big "Thanks" for this from Cologne.

  • after listening to all the crap out there(on youtube) it is great to hear something good

  • emovideomaker999: every body has an acsent and we cant all be the same, you sound like that you expect everyone's acsent to be all full american.

mikeyb8365: nice tutorial, i like the song you picked out.

  • @coolguy23ize . . . . thank you , glad you enjoyed it

  • The sheet music for Billy Powell's "Sweet Home Alabama" piano solo can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm.

  • nice tutorial. but u sound like a major redneck lol

  • @emovideomaker999 . . .just asking , but why would you get on here and make fun of the way I talk . . . I'm just trying to share my knowledge with people and I'm trying to help other musicians out . . . I'm from Ohio and if thats what you concider to be major rednck country then I guess I'm the biggest . . . . thank you for thinking it was a nice tutorial

  • @mikeyb8365

  • you are the shit! i love the crickets ;)

  • Cool

  • Thanks!

  • Just To let everyone know , I play by ear and for me to sit down and figure out exactly what notes to play would take a lot of time for me . I've never learned a song by reading notes so that's all new to me and not the way I learn . Thank you to all

the people who have left comments and I apologize to those who wanted the notes . just use the pause button , watch me closely and carefully listen to what I play , train your ear to hear the notes and become a better musician from it .

  • I finaly know how to play the solo! Thanks a lot!

  • THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!

  • thx thx thx so much! you and billy (RIP billy) relly ROCK!

  • thx alot man

  • i've been tryin to find a tutorial for the part of the solo that you decided not to do that billy powell plays as the song fades out...think you could do one of that small bit?

  • Comment removed

  • I need exactly what Thompsonjd3 meant, I really need it as well :O

If you could do that for us, you'd be God for me for like... 4 days

  • is this an example of 'barrelhouse' blues?

  • cheers so much for this, ty, i think i learnt it :D

  • man fuck kid rock, Billy Powell forever

  • wow thats pretty damn good

i learn alot of my piano songs and improvisions like this, this is a great way of learn but can i suggest to sperate into parts so u have a video for part 1 and a video for part 2 and so on, so then we can go through the song section by section and try and do it a bit slower

and i can see that ur a good pianist by the way u hold ur hands when ur playing, but if u flaten ur hands so ur finger arnt covered it would make it easier for us 2 see the note ur playing tony

  • Vielen Dank! War echt gut!!

  • it was pretty good, but you gotta slow down alot like at the section at 3:25 you went through that realy fast

  • I really like this solo and I have been looking for a video like this for a long time. Thank you very much for putting it all together. By watching the video slowed down I was able to copy down all of the notes and now I can play it. Thanks a lot.
