@blindspy that person probably shouldn't have had it on, or accidentally hit the toggle and didn't know it was on. it's only supposed to be used in heavy rain or fog. the whole point is for it be bright, so people see you in front of them when driving vision is impaired.
Awesome, just what I was looking for. I will be moving to a foggy area in California and I would like a car with rear fog lights. I knew the MINI offered it and this was perfect to see it in action. The only doubt I have about the MINI is...I feel it would be less safe to drive on the highway. It is so little, that I fear the big trucks and semis won't see it coming...do you think that is true? I have read some concerns about reliability too, what is your experience? It is so cool though!!
it is, alot of the German Audis have them standard (not removed for Import), my cousin got pulled over, because the police thought he had a light burnt out (only one rear fog on the Audi)
I have a Nissan Almera and also have a rear fog light caming from factory, the question that I have is: It's legal to use that light here in the U.S.?
rimplestultskin, if you have a rear fog installed, you should have the toggle switch, unless you are referring to a third brake light. then you don't need the switch, it just acts as another cyclops light.
care to tell me where you bought the 6-toggle panel, and for how much? my mini has a rear fog light installed, but no fog switches (neither front nor rear) on the toggle panel.

I just drove behind some dick head with this thing switched on at night and it almost blinded me.
What kind of ridiculous shit is this to have on a vehicle?
