  • the video seems to be out of tune with the sound. the trumpet sounds allready before he sets it to his mouth. but for the rest I like it!

  • I love your playing - so smooth and controlled, with such a lovely tone.

  • THIS IS FROM WATER MUSIC.

  • This music is used both for the Water Music Suite in D and the Sonata for Trumpet and String in D.

The Water Music Suite features two trumpets, however.

There is often confusion because Handel wrote three Water Music Suties, the most popular of which is in F and opens with the famous horn line.

The point being, this music is used to open both the trumpet sonata heard here and the Water Music Suite in D, HWV 349.

  • I don't care what it is, it's Händel and it makes me wanna dance and prance around the house! :-D

  • This not the Watermusic. It is the suite in D for Trumpet and Strings.

  • This selection is also in "Water Music". Handel frequently recycles his works. In several "Concerti a Due Cori" are choruses from "Messiah", only for instruments alone.

  • True.

I have been playing this piece, it is Suite in D for Trp and strings.

  • This is not the water music, it is suite in D. For trumpet and chamber orchestra

  • How can you say such a thin!?

  • I recorded it with two trumpets, just look on my channel

  • Impressive !

  • but isn't this the ouverture of the 2 Suite in d Maj from water music? The hornpipe is just after this part...this one have no tempo mark

  • YES INDEED THEY IS TRIPLETS operachille

  • Pardon my humor, but it appears that the same gentleman is playing both the harpsichord and the cello simultaneously.

    Impressive!

  • All three of us seem to have the same hairstylist !

  • @operachild i believe that that is actually a viola da gamba

  • At my point of view, the best and confident interpretation ever. Respect!

  • its keyed, i see.

  • It's not keyed. It is a natural (valveless) trumpet that has a few small holes to help correct the intonation of the "naturally" out of tune notes.

  • thats not valveless..??? :0

  • is that a viol I can see :D

  • is that a baroque cello or a viol de gamba?

  • Crispian es un capo total !

  • amazing!

  • I've uploaded some more videos of Crispian, but for some reason they are not showing up if you search his name. Please visit my page in order to see them.

  • Very nice! Very hard to play with that trumpet. I can't see, but, is it keyed? I believe not.

  • Nope, he's playing a natural trumpet. The only openings on that horn might be some vent holes, but they're simply there to assist with pitch.

  • Muito bom!!Inspira-nos nos épicos gregos, de Virgílio,Homero,Ovídio, ...

  • Truly Natural ! Lovely ! ...Bravi !!!

  • Sounds too good to be true! Great horn, and everything else.
