@Hornet85 the mkII's are worth it if you can't find original px100's. The wires are supposedly made out of kevlar which would make em really strong. Believe me i've had 3 px100's all broken haha. Bought a pmx100 that's about to be broken as well, and thinkin of buying the mkII's.

hi there..ive just bought a new sennheiser px100 on ebay..but it doesnt come with a case, instead it comes with a leather-like pouch..and the sound is 'ok', but there is a lot of noise leaking out from the headphone..and the hinge doesnt seems to lock when i unfold the headphone..do you think ive been conned?

The Px100 (version i) comes with a hard case. The Px100 (version ii) comes with a leather pouch. hope that helps.

Wow someone who actually did their homework before buying something, that's pretty rare.

The PX100's are amazing, they completely blew me away when I first heard them, I've been an audiophile ever since then and I'm never going back to buying anything not made by Sennheiser, Grado, Audio-Technica etc.

I have worn out my first pair of these and am about to get a second cos I like em. BUT burn in is a myth! You aughta see what is inside these headphones, nothing is going to "burn in". It was invented originally for really expensive audio cables so that people had to use them past the warranty period to fully burn them in, incase they realised there was no improvement in sound. Any improvement percieved by the listner is caused by the placebo effect after blowing a weeks pay on audio cables!

burn in isn't a myth. it doesn't make a HUGE difference but it does make a difference. you don't need to use any specific frequencies, just listen to music like normal and it basically loosens the drivers to give a better sound. it's common for people, including myself, to burn in expensive hi-fi speakers before the true bass depth comes through.

Ive got these headphones and their awesome, the bass handling is superb and the overall audio quality is fantastic, highly reccomend these and their cheap which is always nice lol ;)
