  • 6:03 !!! hahahahaha... crazy :) gotta love this video.

  • I saw Alban Gerhardt play Dvorak's cello concerto with the london philharmonic orchestra a couple of nights ago and it was amazing! I had never before seen anyone so absorbed by and at one with a piece of music! The way he played was truly inspirational. :)

  • wonderful cellist!

dvorak american string quartet is actually op. 96 not 93.

  • i saw him perform in Spokane.

He taught at my masterclass I played in.

    I MET HIM IN PERSON!!!

He is a very kind, very sweet person, and amazing. The night he played in Spokane his mother passed away.

:( Everyone I looked at in the audience was crying. You could feel his emotion when he played.

    Bravo Mr. Gerhardt :)

  • Well, how about Mozart Piano Concerto 9, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 ? Or more to the point, the Sinfonia Concertante, K. 364 which is my favorite piece of music in the whole history of music.

  • Gosh, what a smart, beautiful and talented guy. But as to his contention that the Dvorak is the greatest of all concertos, of all sorts, well maybe.

  • @ppfuchs are there other concerti that can possibly match the level of this one? Im not being a smart-ass, but I am curious to know. I actually think the Prokofiev Sinfonia Concertante or the Brahms Violin Concerto can rival this piece in many aspects.
