@TGirlAlex Afaik only this particual re issue pedal was discontinued. A modified version with a smaller case and a 9V input has replaced the bulky original which required a 18V power input, if I remember correctly. The newer ones are easier to integrate into a pedal board due to the more compact design. I have one which I use frequently and it sounds great, provided you set it properly.

Start and Stop Freq actually refers to the frequency (note) that the Synth will hit at either the start or stop of a note. The time be between start and stop is determined by the rate.

he uses a Digitech Whammy. It has an expression pedal built in, it is known for it's poor tracking when you get to +2 octaves, and that seems to help the sound for some people.

you could use something like this, but Jack White uses the Whammy
